Leonardo Da Vinci, who represented the most outstanding artist during the European Renaissance, waswidelyknown by people all over the world. He was regarded as a unique genius for he did well in almost every field, such as painting, sculpture, mathematics and biology. What's more, he learnedall thisHale Waihona Puke Baiduy himself. He was born in Italy, and had a talent in music because of his improvisation. Not only the lyrics he made, but also the rhythm both surprised us. Da Vinci was also famous for its painting. The picture, namedMona Lisa, hanging on the wall of Louvre, is famous worldwide because of its mystery, foreven now, the experts haven't found out why Da Vinci painted this woman and what relationshiphe had with the woman. This masterpiece is also well-known for its complex andexquisitepainting skills.Across this oil painting, a dignified woman is smiling slightly, folding her hands. It's estimated that her smile showedherhappiness, anger, andfear. Da Vinciadded a lot of detail toher hands and facial expressions. The artistcombinedthe inner emotionwithher beautiful appearance andrendered her gentle smile perfectly. To emphasize the woman even more, the background was blurry, Da Vinci cleverly drew in dark green and he alsoused different shades ofgrey in a hidden way. The painting of bright and dark colors was once drawn many times and wasa typical exampleof his works. This portrait oftenleaves the audience wonderingwhether the woman smiled or not andmake themimaginewhat she smiled at.
Leonardo Da Vinci was a greatartistduring the Renaissance.Because of his talent,he was allowed to be taught by a good painter called Andrea del Verrocchio at the age of 15.The young Da Vinci was interested in other subjects such as physics, medicine and astronomy as well and he even tried to make a robot. He is a great person who contributed a lot in art as well as in science. There is no praisethatcan express my admiration to him.Mona Lisa ,one of the treasures in Louvre Museumin Paris,is a well-known example of Leonardo Da Vinci’s extraordinary paintings. In the painting,a beautiful woman issitting elegantlywithanunsearchable smile, which is considered to be one of the most mysterious smiles in the world. Some people thought she smiled because of her kindness while others thought because of sadness. In my view, whatever her smile means, the fact is she’s graceful and particular. You can see that the woman is sitting with her right hand above the left one.And according to the teacher of etiquette, the left hand means the origin of crime in western culture. Also,” The right hand is a wonderful example of painting a hand in oil painting.” said the art teacher. Not only is the background of this great painting beautiful but itemphasises the beautyof the woman in simple black. In conclusion,it was ablessingthat wecould havesuch a good painter and wecouldenjoy such a wonderful painting.
