英语倒装句讲解

将助动词、系动词或情态动词移到主语前面

1）句首为否定词：never, rarely, seldom, little, hardly, scarcely, by no means, in no way （决不）, nowhere, not, hardly, not until etc.
•Never have I seen him before. •Seldom do we go out. •Little does he know what trouble he is in.
Exercises:
•We are going nowhere at the weekend. Nowhere are we going at the weekend.
1. Were I a child, I would have no responsibilities. 2. Had he asked me, I should have gone. 3. Should it rain tomorrow, the crops would be saved.
完全倒装
4.not …until… so ….that...
位于句首
•Not until yesterday did I know the news. •So loudly did he speak that even people in the next room could hear him.
Exercises: •I did not begin to do my homework until my mother came back. Not until my mother came back did I begin to do my homework.
8.省略了 if 的虚拟条件句
虚拟条件句的谓语动词如果是 were, had, should 时，可省略 if, 但其谓语须倒装。
Had you worked hard at your lessons, you would have passed the exam.
完全倒装 Here, there, then, now, 或 out, in, up, down, away, off 等副词开头的句子
*As 引导的让步状语从句
Old as he was, he insisted on going with us. Hard as he worked, he failed. Child as he is , he knows a lot about the world. Try as he might, Tom could not get out of he difficulty.
一些特殊的句型
1. You can ride a bike. So can I. 2. He has been to Beijing. So have I. 3. The first one isn’t good, neither is the second. 4. She can't get there at four, nor can I. (1) so, neither/ nor + 动词+主语

引起的句子表 示前面所说的 情况也适用于 另一个人
•He likes rice very well. So do I. •I have never been abroad. Neither has he.
Exercises: •We saw the film last week. They saw it, too. We saw the film last week. So did they. I didn’t read the notice on the blackboard. Nor did he.
[陈述句] If I were you, I would take the job.
[倒装句] Were I you, I would take the job.
(2) 虚拟语气中的倒装句 在虚拟语气的条件句中，去掉“if”，把 “had” ,“should” ,“were” 放到主语之前，构成部分倒装。例如：
总结：一类是为了强调副词、表语等，将 副词等移到句首， 整个句子成了 “状语-谓语-主语” 结构，形象 地说就是整个句子是反过来说的。

当主语是代词，则不需要倒装

3) No sooner…than… Hardly …when… Scarcely …when…

•He did not make a single mistake. Not a single mistake did he make.
2)Only + 状语，位于句首 •Only in this way can you work out the problem. Exercise: •He was able to get back home only when the war was over. Only when the war was over, was he able to get back home.

5) Not only…but also…连接两 个句子时 • Not only was there no electricity at that time but also (there was) no water in the area. •He is not only an actor but also a writer. Not only is he an actor but also (he is) a writer.
总结：第二类则是含有否定意义的各种词， 如：not, never, seldom, nowhere, little , rarely, hardly…when; scarcely…when…; no sooner…than…位于句首时。 这种倒装句的结构是：如果句子中有助动词 (包括be, have)、情态动词，就将助动词或情态 动词移到主语前面，句子结构是： 助动词 +主语+谓语。 但是，如果句子中没有助动词，就必须在主语 前加上do/does/did ，句子结构是： do/does/did+主语+谓语。
