RESISTANCE OF PAINT FILMS TO VARIOUS FLUIDS
漆膜对各种液体的抵抗力
1.0 GENERAL
1.1 Purpose 目的
This procedure describes the method for determining resistance of paint films and substrates to an array of vehicle and commercial fluids.
此过程描述了测定漆膜和底材对一批汽车和商品液体抵抗力的方法。
2.0 SPECIAL TEST EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS专门的实验设备和材料
The required materials and the method used for testing are contained in Table 1. The methods are described in detail in Section 6.0.

3.0 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS 安全防范
This procedure may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to consult and establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
4.0 CONDITIONING 条件
The test surface shall be a panel or part as specified in the applicable Material Standard and aged for 72 hours prior to testing.
测试的表面应该是在适用材料标准中指定的测试板或零件并且在进行实验前老化72小时。
5.0 SAMPLING 取样

6.0 PROCEDURE*** 步骤
After testing the material with any of the following methods, the paint film shall exhibit no detrimental effects such as appreciable softening, swelling, loss of adhesion.
在用下面方法对材料进行测试后,漆膜不应该出现有害的外观如可察觉的软化,膨胀黏附性丢失。
Method A - Hot Immersion Test方法一 -热浸渍测试
A. Immerse the painted test panel so that 75% of the panel is submerged in the test fluid. Test should be run at 180 degrees F (82 degrees C).在样板上刻划, 75% 的部份浸入测试液体中。
测试应该在 180 度 F(82 度 C) 被进行。
B. This should be done in a sealed container if the test fluid is highly volatile. CAUTION: Do not heat flammable materials with an open flame.如果测试液体高度挥发性,这应该在一个密封的容器中被做。

C. Length of submersion time is as specified in the applicable Material Standard. If no immersion
time is specified, use 2 hours.淹没时间的长度按标准的要求。

D. Inspect panels after 4 hours of recovery.样板恢复后4 小时进行检查。
Method B - Spot Test
方法B - 点滴实验
A. Prepare 3 pair of scribed panels labeled 5, 18, and 24 hours. Each scribe consists of a one inch X through all coatings and into the substrate of the sample.
准备3对用划线器划过的测试板标记5,18和24小时。
每个划线由一个一英寸X穿过所有的涂层并且进入样本的底材。
B. Apply the test fluid by drop to the center of each X until a spot diameter of one inch is reached without run-off.

C. Immediately, after the appropriate time interval (5, 18, and 24 hours), wipe off any remaining fluid and inspect panels.

D. Rewipe any residue from the panel, with a dry or wet cloth, prior to storage.

Method C - Dip Test
This method should be used only with volatile liquids. For water test only - use water at 100 degrees C (212 F).
A. Scribe the center of a painted panel. The scribe consists of a one inch X through all coatings, into substrate.
B. Immerse the test panel so that 75% of the panel is submerged in the test fluid for 15 seconds.
C. Remove and allow to dry for 2 minutes.
D. Repeat the dip cycle 10 times.
E. Inspect the test samples after 30 minute recovery time.
Method D - Suntan Lotion Test
方法D - 太阳油测试
Three samples should be run per condition.
事先预备三个样本
A. Place a crock cloth on the painted panel.
在喷图板上放一块脱色布
B. Place one drop (0.07 to 0.13 g) of Suntan Lotion (Coppertone Waterbabies 30 SPF) on the crock cloth.
在脱色布上滴一滴(0.07至0.13克)的太阳油(Coppertone牌水宝宝30SPF)
C. Cover the drop and crock cloth with an aluminum panel.
用一个铝测试板盖住液滴和脱色布。
D. Place a 500-gram weight directly over the drop area.

E. Place the panel in a 74 C (165 F) oven.
把测试板放在74摄氏度(165华氏度)烤炉。
F. After 1 hour remove the panel from the oven and remove the weight and aluminum plate.
一个小时后,从烤箱中移走测试板并且移走砝码和铝板。
G. Peel back the crock cloth, wait 15 minutes to let the panels cool to room temperature, and rate the panel according to the scales below.
把脱色布剥落,等15分钟让测试板冷却到室温并根据下面的数值范围把测试板分等级。
1. Inspect the crock cloth, looking for any color transfer, and rate using the “C” scale below.
检查脱色布,观察是否有颜色改变并用下面的C分等级。
2. Run the side of your thumbnail across the sample area, using a moderate pressure, four times in different locations, and rate using the “P” scale below.
用一个适中压力让拇指指甲边划过样本区域,在不同位置划四次并且用下面的P来进行等级的划分。
H. Wipe the Suntan Lotion residue from the panel with a dry or wet cloth prior to storage.
在进行储藏前用一块干燥或湿布擦拭实验板的太阳油残留物。

FAIL: Either C-3 or P-3.

Method E - Diesel Fuel Test
A. Place a quarter-sized drop of specified diesel fuel on surface of test panel using a plastic eyedropper.
B. Age panel for 48 hours in an oven at 52 degrees C (125 F).
C. Remove panel from oven and wipe residual fuel.
D. Place the panel in a Xenon Weatherometer and expose for 38 kJ. (The Xenon procedure is per SAE J1885.)
E. Remove and observe panel for staining.
Method F– Water and Soap Spot Test
方法F –水和肥皂点滴实验
A. Apply dime size drop of distilled water on one end of the test panel.
在测试板一端使用一角钱币大小的蒸馏水滴
B. Apply dime size drop of liquid soap (such as: XLO Liquid Hand Soap from Bockstanz Co., 13045 Hillview, Detroit, MI 48227-3666, DCX Supplier Code 18435) on the other end of the test panel.

C. Place the test panels, in a horizontal position, in an oven pre-heated to 70 degrees C (158 f) for
4 hours.

D. Following the bake, remove the test panel, rinse the surface of the panel gently with water, using light finger pressure to loosen the soap, and allow the panel to air-dry for 2 hours.

E. Inspect the tested areas to determine the degree of staining. Discount water ring and look for significant staining of the painted surface. The rating shall be 4-5 or greater, per the AATCC Staining Scale, Procedure 2.
检验实验区域来测定着色的程度。
忽略水纹并查找喷图表面严重的着色。
根据步骤2AATCC着色刻度,等级应该是4-5或更严重。
Method G – Warm Water Immersion
A. Scribe two (2) diagonally intersecting lines on the test panel, using a metal scribe with a
heavy-duty needle in a holder.
B. Apply masking tape firmly; pressing tape in place, then remove with rapid vertical movement from the panel
C. Immerse the test pieces in the water bath in accordance with ASTM D870 for the length of time specified in the Material or Performance Standard.
D. After completion of the test period remove panel and blow off or wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
E. Examine the panel, indicating spots or areas of corrosion, creep age (under cutting) from scribed lines, or blistering.
F. Apply masking tape over scribed lines then remove the tape with a rapid, vertical pull.
G. Record results.
Method H– Acid Spot Test
方法H –酸点实验
A. Apply acid to panels and expose for times listed above.
在板子上使用酸液并且暴露上面列出的时间
B. At completion of each test, wipe off any residue from spots with a damp cloth.
在每个测试完成时,用潮湿的布擦去液滴的残留物。
C. Examine panel for softening, color change or darkening of the paint film. Record results.
检查测试板漆膜的软化,颜色改变或暗色化情况。
记录结果。
Method I - Acid Spot Test - Hydrochloric Acid Solution in Sunlamp Cabinet
方法I –酸点实验–太阳灯实验箱内盐酸溶液
A. Preheat the sunlamp cabinet by operating it for a minimum of 5 minutes before starting the test.
在开始实验时至少让太阳灯实验箱提前预热5分钟。
B. Panels shall be approximately 450 mm (18 in) from surface of sunlamps. The exact distance shall be determined by using a black base/clear enamel panel adjusted from the bulb until the surface temperature of the panel is maintained at 80 – 90 °C (180 –190°F).
测试板应该离太阳灯表面大约450毫米(18英寸)。
精确的距离应该用一个黑色底部/透明指甲油板调节灯泡直到测试板表面的温度保持在80-90摄氏度(180-190华氏度)
C. Place 0.15 cc (approximately 3 drops) of each of the test solutions – (0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, and
4.0% Hydrochloric acid) onto 4 separate areas of the test panel.
把每个实验溶液(0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, 和4.0%盐酸)的0.15立方厘米放在测试板4个不同相离的区域。
D. Place the panels in a horizontal position in the sunlamp cabinet for 30 minutes.

E. Remove the test panels, cool the panels to room temperature, wipe off any residue from the
spot locations with a damp cloth, then examine the test areas of panel for softening, color change, or darkening of the paint film.
移出测试板,冷却到室温,用湿布擦去液滴位置的残留物。
然后检查测试板测试区域漆膜的软化,颜色变化或暗色化。
NOTE: New sunlamps must be run for 24 hours before being used with the acid spot test. Sunlamp bulbs shall be replaced after 176 hours of use (200 hours total).
注意:新的太阳灯必须在用于酸点实验前使用24小时。

Method J– Solvent Wipe Resistance
方法J -溶剂擦拭抵抗力
A. Wet out a cheesecloth (150 mm or 6 in square) pad with the reagent grade of solvent specified in the applicable Material or Performance Standard.
用适用材料或性能标准中指定的试剂等级的溶剂浸湿一个cheesecloth(一种粗棉布)的小垫
B. Rub the pad on the painted surface (approximately ten double strokes) while exerting moderate pressure. Note any appreciable resistance to rubbing or wiping.
用垫子加适度的压力摩擦喷图表面(大约10个来回)。
注意摩擦或擦拭适当的抵抗力。
C. Examine the rubbed area to determine if the painted surface has been softened.
检查摩擦的区域来测定喷图表面是否软化。
D. Allow the film to dry for 30 minutes and note any deviation from original color, gloss or appearance. For in-plant QC testing of baked on coatings, this procedure can be performed as soon as the test panel is cooled to room temperature.
让漆膜干燥30分钟并注意和原来颜色,光泽或外观的差异。
对于在涂层烤焙厂内质量控制测试,在测试板冷却到室温时就可以进行这个步骤。
