《My name is Gina》说课稿
Good morning , ladies and gentlemen. It’s my pleasure to be here. My name’s Feng Shuojin.I come from Xindi School. Today , I’m going to talk about the topic “My name is Gina.”I will divide the instruction into seven parts: they are Teaching material Analysis,Teaching aims, Teaching emphasis and Teaching difficulties, Teaching methods, Teaching procedures,Blackboard design and Teaching Reflection.
First,Teaching material Analysis
I’d like to say something about the teaching content .The teaching plan I am going to present is from Unit 1. For it’s the first lesson in middle school, it’s easy to learn. In this unit,we will learn how to introduce ourselves, learn how to make friends,and learn how to greet people. This is an important and useful lesson in Book One,because it’s related to our daily life closely.If the students can learn it well,it will be helpful to improve their learning ability and arouse the interest in learning English..
Second, Teaching aims
1. Knowledge of language: Learn the new words;Learn the sentences“What’s your name? My name is…Nice to meet you” Learn how to greet people.
2. Practical skills: To understand the passages in book and learn to immigrate knowledge from “What’s your name?” to “What’s his/her name?”
3. Personal development :To inspire students to learn English, and develop the ability to make friends.
Third, Teaching emphasis and Teaching difficulties :
1.Learn the new words and new sentences:What’s your name? My name is…. Nice to meet you.
what’s=what is I’m=I am name’s=name is
2.Learn how to make a new dialog use the sentences we had learnt in this unit.
Next, Teaching methods and Learning methods
1.As we know, teaching English at middle schools aims at students’ basic skills in listening and speaking and their interest in English. So I find it’s necessary to design a task-based class .So in this lesson,I’ll use“Task-based” teach ing method : Students will be assigned to make conversations in limited time. This task will make it possible for the students to pick up the language in an authentic way.
2.Game teaching method:I’ll let the students to take part in the game,it can help tostrengthen their ability to make friends and improve their learning interest.
3Cooperative inquiry method : Encourage students to communicate in English as much as possible.Encourage students to work hard to be NO.1 in the English class.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warm-up
Start class with a song.It can help to draw student’s attention in class.And I shall have the students join in the singing
Step2 Presentation
Show the new words and new sentences, explain the meaning.1.Surpose I want to know someone or I want to make friend with him/her,how can I ask his/her name?Let the students think about it.And then
