15
Vehicle Assembly: Vehicle Analysis
Vehicle Analysis Interface assists the User with
creation of driving dynamic events
The Analysis portion will set up a standard list of maneuvers

Vehicle Analysis: Standard Events
ISO and Steady State
Circular (static) have event dialogs that are dedicated only to that scenario.ISO standards define all the possible step steer options

Vehicle Analysis: Initial Conditions and Road Tabs
Initial Conditions are automatically
applied to all bodies listed in the Parts tab of all referenced subsystems (suspensions, steering etc.)
A Road element can be specified from
Road tab, either General or Left/Right type (different road profiles for left and right side)

Vehicle Analysis: Steering Tab
In the Steering tab it is
possible to define a steering input to the vehicle, to either steering wheel or rack. Two driver types are available:
Kinematic Steering (J-turn, Impulse, Straight-Line driving, User-defined
angle/disp, User-defined torque/force) Path Following
Driver for closed loop events

Vehicle Analysis: Throttle Tab
The Throttle tab describes the method
chosen to drive the wheels of the vehicle: Selecting Controls allows the user to specify a Desired Vehicle Speed using a linear velocity-time function. Cruise Control will keep the wheels on the vehicle at the speed specified in the Initial Conditions tab.
If Driver is selected, then there is an option of specifying None, Drive or
Torque separately on the front and rear wheels.
•None : no driver or force will be created.
•Drive : relative angle drivers will be created on the corresponding
revolute joints.
•Torque : three point forces will be created on the corresponding tire bodies.

Vehicle Analysis: Braking
The
Braking Tab defines the
desired action of the brake system
The brake contribution to the event is setup by Braking Type .
Desired Speed and Deceleration Rate
create control system to achieve user defined targets.
Max Brake Force is an open loop event that applies a torque to the wheels.
