Discussions and Conclusions
the inversion results show that the speed and stability of the damping least squares inversion are good, but it’s very important to select initial value, the wrong selection of initial value, especially over four medium results in the target function to obtain a local minimum, thus departing from the true value. Bostic inversion can be carried out first after semi-quantitative interpretation to attain first-layer dielectric parameters to constrain the selection of initial value of the damping least squares method .
meanwhile, the damped least square method well-known and classical method for the inversion also is well applied.
