An Introduction to
Changsha Jinxia Economic Development Zone
长沙金霞经济开发区，是1992年经湖南省人民政府批准成立的省级重点开发区，国务院批准的长沙市总体规划近期重点开发园区。

开发区地处长沙城北中心地段，总规划面积52.14平方公里，是湖南省唯一集水运、公路、铁路、空运、管道五元化网络交通优势于一体的开发园区，也是湖南省乃至全国最大的专业物流园区。

园区先后获批“中国物流实验基地”、“中国物流学会产学研基地”和“湖南省物流示范园区”等荣誉称号。

Changsha Jinxia Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level key development zone approved by the People’s Government of Hunan Pr ovince, and the recent key development zone in the overall planning of Changsha approved by the State Council. Located in the central lot of North Changsha, with a planning area of 52.14 square kilometers, the development zone is the only one in Hunan Province to combine five-dimensional transportation network advantages together, i.e. waterway, roadway, railway, air, and pipeline transportation, and it is the largest professional logistics zone in Hunan Province,
even in China. It has also been awarded lots of honorable titles successively, such as “Experimental base for China's logistics”, “Production, Learning and research base of China Logistics Association”, and “Logistics Demonstration Park in Hunan Province”.
开发区辖金霞、沙坪、高岭、鹅秀四个组团。

凭借保税物流中心、铁路货运中心、港口、公路一级口岸和物流信息中心等五大物流平台，金霞组团成为定位长沙，辐射中部，影响全国的国家一级物流节点和重要的国际物流转换基地；沙坪组团重点发展装备制造业、能源工业等大运量工业和以IT产业、电子信息为主体的出口加工业；高岭组团重点发展物流商贸业，形成集仓储、配送、批发、贸易、展览、运输、信息以及其他专业服务为一体的专业市场群；鹅秀组团拥有良好的自然生态环境，将建成以生活居住、商贸办公、休闲旅游等多功能结合的综合型社区。

The development zone is composed of Jinxia Group,Shaping Group, Gaoling Group and Exiu Group. With the bonded logistics center, the railway freight centers, ports, highways a port and logistics information center five logistics platform. Positioning of Changsha, radiation in central, Jinxia group will be built as the country-affecting national-level logistics nodes and important international logistics base; Shaping group will
focus on the large capacity industry, such as equipment manufacturing, energy i.e. and the export processing industry, such as IT industry, electronic information industry. Gaoling group will focus on the logistics business sector, become a professional market including storage, distribution, wholesale, trade, exhibition, transport , information, and other professional services. With a good natural environment, Exiu Group will be built into a multi-functional comprehensive community, combined with live life, business office, leisure and tourism.
在园区内，一大批高标准的物流公共平台已经建成或者正在建设。

园区依托这些物流平台，繁荣商贸流通业，呈现出广阔的发展前景。

长沙新港：是由交通部确认的全国28个内河主枢纽港口之一，是湘江水路向国际航运中心——上海港最大的喂给港，是湖南唯一能常年通航千吨级船舶的内河深水港，总占地面积1125亩。

目前港口一、二期已建成投入使用，具备运输管理、中转换装、装卸存储、多式联运、国际货运、信息服务和通关商检7大
功能，成为辐射湖南乃至我国中西部的重要内河枢纽港口。

Changsha New Port: As one of the 28 river main hubs confirmed by State Ministry of Communications in China, it is the largest feeder port in Xiang River waterway to the international shipping center---- Shanghai Port, and the only deep-water river port that the kiloton ships can navigation throughout the year in Hunan Province，With a total area of 1125 mu (a unit of area in China). By now, the first and second period of the port has been completed and put into use. With 7 major functions, i.e. transportation management, transfer and reloading, loading/unloading storage, multi-modal transportation, international freight transportation, information service, customs clearance and commodity inspection, it has already become an important river hub that radiates Hunan Province, even the central and western part of China.
长沙金霞海关保税物流中心：它是湖南省首家B型保税物流中心。

占地面积1500亩，总投资10亿元。

目前第一期占地700亩，已经投入使用。

该中心具备保税仓储、国际物流配送、简单加工和增值服务、进出口和转口贸易、口岸和退税、物流信息处理等六大功能，将成为湖南现代物流和外向型经济发展的新平
台。

Changsha Jinxia customs bonded Logistics Center: It is the first B-typed bonded logistics center in Hunan Province, with an area of 1500 mu, and a total investment of 1 billion RMB. As present, the first period, Occupies 700 mu, has been put into use. With 6 major functions, i.e. bonded storage, international logistics distribution, simple processing and value-added service, import&export and entrepot trade, port and tax-free, and logistics information treatment, it will be a new platform of Hunan modern logistics and the development of export-oriented economy.
长沙铁路货运中心：由长沙市原铁路南、北货运站拆建合并而成，是湖南省、长沙市“十一五”重点工程。

总占地约2平方公里，总投资26亿元，现已建成四条配套道路，正在进行站场建设。

建设规模近期按500万吨／年实施，远期到2020年按2000万吨／年规划预留用地，是中部最重要的货运枢纽站之一。

Changsha Railway Freight Center: As a key project of the “Eleventh Five-Year Planning” in both Changsha and Hunan, it is combined by the old north and south railway freight station after rebuilding. The total area is about 2 square kilometers, and the total investment is about 2.6
billion RMB. By now, 4 Supporting roads have been built, and the railway yard is under construction. The recent construction scale is 5 million tons per year, and the reserved land will be planed by 20 million tons per year in 2020. It will be one of the most important railway freight hubs in central China.
长沙出口加工区：位于长沙金霞经济开发区中北部，规划面积5平方公里，总投资52亿元。

出口加工区建成后，将成为湖南承接沿海产业转移的重要平台，对湖南出口加工贸易和对外经济的发展具有深远意义。

Changsha Export Processing Zone: Located at central and northern part of Changsha Jinxia Economic Development Zone, it has 5 square kilometers in the plan, and the total investment of 5.2 billion RMB. After the completion of construction, it will become an important platform in Hunan to undertake the coastal Industrial transfer, and have far-reaching significance to the development of export processing trade and foreign economic of Hunan Province.
