没有时间地点的限制。一些贫困地区的学生可以接受师资力量更好的学校的课程。具有更多的选择,根据个人兴趣及长处选择课程学习。

同意该观点,不能像课堂一样好。课堂教育更注重互动,教授可以根据学生的反应,及时调整讲课的速度和重点。远程教育没有办法及时互动。

People are more likely to take a distance-learning program online with easy access to the internet these days. Although it has many advantages, it can never be as good as the teaching in class. The internet has changed the ways people live their lives and complete work. A growing number of people are likely to take a distance education, which allows them to complete a degree even at home. Although distance learning is different from the traditional college education, it also has some advantages in some aspects.

One reason behind the popularity of distance-learning programs is the freedom of learning. Students can learn whatever they want to know at any time and site they are available. The restriction of learning conditions is few except for the internet. Because of its convenience, acknowledge of distance-learning programs can be gained by more people from different backgrounds and cultures. For instance, children from disadvantaged areas may learn some advanced learning skills and methods by a teaching video produced by a famous teacher. In addition, students have more chances to choose lessons more suitable for them.

Distance-learning education is more flexible than the traditional way of receiving education, thereby offering learners more educational opportunities. Students can read relevant materials and attend lectures by watching videos. If they have difficulties to digesting information, they can click the pause button and replay the video until they fully understand the content. Most of these distance-learning programs are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and therefore suitable for those who lead a hectic life, as long as they have Internet access.

The improvements in online education also make it possible for students to communicate with their lecturers whenever necessary. Students can use interactive communication tools to ask questions in virtual classes or talk to lectures via email. However, distance-learning can never perform as excellent as real teaching in the class due to its limit of interactions. The effect of education mainly depends on communication in the course between teachers and the audience. For example, students’ feedback, such as picking up their hands for questions, the confusion on their faces, can help teachers adjust their content and change their expression to follow students’ action s on time, which cannot be achieved in a distance-learning program. The lack of feedback has a bad impact on students’ attention, a nd eventually lead to a frustrating academic performance.

However, a main backward of online education is that students have found it difficult to improve their social skills because there are few group assignments. They always complete their
