SNC’s DSG Module Design – Element Overview
•Power and Propulsion Element (PPE)
o Aerojet Rocketdyne 50 kW Solar Electric Propulsion Module featuring four 13 kW AEPS thrusters
o Logistics and Control Module, derived from SNC’s Cargo Module on CRS2, provides avionics, GN&C, pressurized volume for cargo delivery and habitable volume
o Two PPE included in DSG architecture to increase power and propulsion capabilities, and for redundancy
•Large Inflatable Fabric Environment (LIFE)
o ILC Dover inflatable habitat provides significant
pressurized volume for long duration human
activity
o Minimal mass and volume for efficient packaging
in EELV 5-m fairing
o Inner core supports integration of ECLSS
systems, passage through element
•Extended Logistics and Control Module (ELCM)
o Evolved from LCM to increase cargo carrying
capabilites
o IDSS compatible ports for visiting vehicles
o Airlock for DSG EVA

SNC Deep Space Gateway System Concept
The SNC DSG is a flexible, modular architecture designed to support crewed or autonomous operations in cislunar space
Our solution can be assembled using 4 SLS and/or commercial launches and features 3 unique platforms
The building block approach provides for incremental build up and test, and evolution of in-design elements and subsystems
The modular architecture supports buildup, test and deployment of the Deep Space Transport (DST) through reuse of elements
We minimize development costs by extensive re-use of CRS2 components and subsystem technology, and AEPS technologies Our full scale ground prototype will confirm the proof-of-concept,
demonstrate interfaces between core technology elements and create a
“walk through” experience that fosters program adoption by government
seniors
The Deep Space Gateway (DSG) is envisioned to prove critical technologies for a human-tended, cislunar outpost for future lunar and deep space exploration.
