它的主席叫大卫格兰多的一本书,叫《英语下一步》,他讲到整本书意思是英语将走向何处。
很有意思的是主席曾经这本书里说到了中文将以后成为世界语言。
英语1考题作为序言部分作为考题。
今年英语1总体难度和去年相比,刚刚过去2016年考研题稳中有一点点上升,没有任何难句出现,只是长句。
我认为稳中上升。
第一句话有一个单词难一点,predominate,英语全球性主导地位。
翻译里没有考过。
predominate主导地位考过,但是是阅读里经常出现,翻译都是可以的。
这句话基本意思说到了,说英语的人进一步扩大,even as the number of English speakers expands.这是一个状语从句。
后面跟着there are signs有迹象表明,是主句,表明的迹象是什么呢?从句that the global predominance of the language may fade within foreseeable future,英语全球性主导地位在可预见地位将减弱。
fade略微有难度。
我对考研阅读没有那么熟,但是2000年出现过。
如果按照新东方老师关注的精读方法来学习有很好的效果。
第二句话讲到了大卫这个人分析,会终结一些人的self-contentedness,who may believe that the global position of English is so stable(他们或许会认为英语全球性地位是如此稳定)。
他们有一次词,是stable如此稳定,that the young generations of the United Kingdom do not need additional language capabilities.(英国年轻一代不需要额外学习其他的语言能力), 但是会终结年轻一代的能力。

阅读理解一直是考研英语中设计知识点最广、句型最多、生词难词最多且分值最高的部分,得阅读者得天下,那么阅读理解该如何复习呢?小编整理阅读理解考研大纲、复习计划、做题步骤等帮助考生备战考研英语阅读理解。
(一)翻硕阅读考试大纲
1.考试要求
(1)能读懂常见外刊上的专题报道、历史传记及文学作品等各种文体的文章,既能理解其主旨和大意,又能分辨出其中的事实与细节,并能理解其中的观点和隐含意义。
(2)能根据阅读时间要求调整自己的阅读速度。
由于翻译硕士英语由各招生单位自主命题,阅读部分的文章长度差别比较大,阅读量大的能达到4000多词(如四川大学),小的只有1500词左右(如对外经贸大学),大多数院校阅读量控制在2500词至3000词左右。
2. 题型
(1)选择题(包括信息事实性阅读题和观点评判性阅读题)
(2)简答题(要求根据所阅读的文章,用3-5行字数的有限篇幅扼要回答问题,重点考查阅读综述能力)
本部分题材广泛,体裁多样,选材体现时代性、实用性;重点考查通过阅读获取信息和理解观点的能力;对阅读速度有一定要求。
总分40分。
考试时间为60分钟。
(二)翻硕阅读复习计划
第一阶段:5月中旬—6月底
任务:了解翻硕阅读出题思路,夯实基础,增加词汇量
方法:精读文章,把握主旨,概括大意,分析长难句
注意:①增强背景知识。
②锻炼抓住文章中心的能力。
第二阶段:7月—8月
任务:巩固提高,精读与泛读结合
方法:
①每周一次《China Daily》,时效性强,多注意经济文化、科技、观点类文章。
②每月至少看一本英文杂志:《Time》,《News week》,《Economist》,《英语世界》,《优秀时文阅读》。
③勤上网浏览相关英文新闻。
推荐英文网站:
④要求泛读《新概念第四册》,每天泛读一篇,多遍泛读。

第三阶段:9月—11月
任务:提高阅读速度

(三)翻硕阅读的基本做题步骤
第一,扫描提干,划关键项。
(大写字母、地名、时间、数字等快速记住)
第二,通读全文,抓住中心。
1. 通读全文,抓两个重点:
(1)首段(中心句、核心概念常在第一段,常在首段出题);
(2)其他各段的段首和段尾句。
(其他部分略读,有重点的读)
2. 抓住中心,思考3个问题:
(1)文章叙述的主要内容是什么?
(2)文章中有无提到核心概念?
(3)作者的大致态度是什么?
第三,仔细审题,返回原文。
(仔细看题干,把每道题和原文的某处建立联系,挂起钩)
1. 定位原则:
(1)通常是由题干出发,使用寻找关键词定位原则。
(关键词:大写字母、地名、时间、数字等)
(2)自然段定位原则。
出题的顺序与行文的顺序是基本一致的,一般每段对应一题。
2. 要树立定位意识,每一题、每一选项都要回到原文中某一处定位。
第四,重叠选项,得出答案。
(重叠原文=对照原文)
1. 通过题干返回原文:判断四个选项,抓住选项中的关键词,把选项定位到原文的某处比较,重叠选项,选出答案。
2. 作题练习要求:要有选一个答案的理由和其余三个不选的理由。
