本大纲以教育部《高职高专教育英语课程教学基本要求》以及《高等学校应与应用能力考试大纲》为依据而编制。

大纲的各项规定可作为教学安排、教材的选择及教辅编写、教学质量检查的依据。

(二)课程简介《商务英语视听说》课程是为培养“英语+专业”的应用型涉外人才而设置,旨在培养学生在各种商务环境下熟练运用英语知识与技巧的能力,内容涉及国际贸易的全过程,包括:能够听懂语速为130词/分钟左右的商务会话或陈述,能掌握其要点和相关细节,并领会说话人的态度、感情和真实意图。

内容涉及日常问候、接听电话、约会安排、招聘面试、会议组织、产品描述、价格谈判等商务活动。

(三)课程的地位与作用该课程是学习商务英语其他相关课程的基础课程,他为学生提供一个关于商务英语学科的入门介绍,并对商务英语情境有整体的认识。

(四)课程性质、目的和任务《商务英语视听说》是为高职高专英语专业--商务英语及应用英语专业(涉外文秘方向)的学生开设的一门综合语言技能课,是必修课程之一。

该课程的主要任务是培养学生进一步提高语言应用能力,特别是用于国际商务的专门用途英语。

该课程突出自主、互动的学习过程,使学生学以致用。

在教学过程中注重国际商务实践能力的锻炼,在商务活动的情境中既熟悉了国际贸易流程,又学习了相关英语的应用。

中国海洋大学本科生课程大纲一、课程介绍1.课程描述:《商务英语视听说》课程为培养应用型涉外人才而设置,以视、听、说技能训练为主要教学目的,旨在培养学生在国际商务环境中正确理解并恰当使用英语、进行商务活动的能力,内容涉及国际贸易的全过程。

2.设计思路:“商务英语视听说”课程以商务活动为主题,侧重语言能力的培养。

教学内容包括人际关系沟通,电话会谈,信息交流,商务会议,客户接待,演示汇报等活动板块。

为了让学生更好地掌握当代国际商务惯例,正确并恰当地用英语完成商务活动,本课程选用外语教学与研究出版社出版的《商务英语视听说》教材,真实的商务英语视听材料、多样化的输入手段,使学生获得生动、丰富、效果好的语言形式、语言知识、文化背景知识与信息的输入,熟悉并掌握主要的商务语言和用法,提高对文化差异的敏感性,使学生具备基本的商业文化素质,提高跨文化沟通能力。

3.课程与其他课程的关系:本课程是大学英语拓展课程之一,教学对象是非英语专业修完大学英语三级的本科生(可与大学英语四级同时修读)。

开始本课程学习时,学生应具备较高的英语听、说、读、写能力以及语法等知识,尤其是听说能力。

- 4 -二、课程目标完成本课程学习后,学生应能够听懂语速为130词/分钟左右的商务会话或陈述,能掌握其要点和相关细节,并领会说话人的态度、感情和真实意图。

在口语方面,通过各种口语活动有效提高学生的口头输出能力,使其能够对听觉信息做出恰当的反应;运用正确、得体的英语讨论各种商务和日常生活的话题、进行电话交谈、客户接待,商业谈判、作简单的会议发言、商务报告、产品演示和介绍;较好地运用专业词汇连贯表达,且内容充实、语篇条理清晰、观点明确、重点突出;同时注重在活动中培养学生的交际能力、合作能力以及提出建议和讨论问题等能力。

三、学习要求要完成所有的课程任务,学生必须:(1)按时上课,上课认真听讲,积极参与课堂讨论、随堂练习和测试。

小组作业展示是课堂活动的重要部分,课堂表现和出勤率是成绩考核的组成部分。

Mary: George, could you help me plan this meeting? I don’t have much experience planning meetings and you’ve been with the company for a long time. So... George: When is this meeting, Mary? Mary: Well, it’s this Friday. George: Friday, hmm. What kind of meeting is it going to be? Mary: We’re going to have a meeting with some new clients and try to get them to buy our new line of sportswear. George: Well, that sounds easy. The first thing we need to do is to create an agenda for the meeting and then give copies of it to everyone who is going to be attending. Mary: No problem, I have a list of all the people right here. The boss says that he wants the people from the sales department and the design department to give a short presentation. George: OK, but we should let them know as soon as possible. Ask them how long they will need for their presentations. Also, we should ask them if they are going to need anything special for the meeting, like a projector. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. I am pleased to announce that this year has been a very good year for our company. Overall, we’ve increased our market share from 37 percent to 48 percent. That’s a significant increase. We ordered 35 new planes last year. To date, we have received 15 of them, which we are using on both our domestic and our international routes. That brings our total number of planes to 84. We’ve also developed an extensive program to train all our employees on the new aircraft. So far, two-thirds of the pilots and three-quarters of the mechanics have already finished training. We’ve opened several new routes this year, and we have extended service on our popular Singapore route. With our increased focus on customer service, customer complaints have dropped to seven and a half percent, down from 15 percent last year. That’s 50 percent less than last year. And the number of passengers continues to rise. This year, we’ve carried 12 million passengers, an increase of five and a half percent over last year. August, in particular, was a very strong month. If you look at the chart here, you’ll see that we carried 1,336,000 passengers in August, an increase of 8 percent over the same period last year. And our cargo service is growing fast. We’ve carried 50 million kilos of cargo, an increase of 56 percent over last year’s figures.
