(9)①calm 指天气、海洋的“风平浪静”,还可指人的心情“平静”、态度“安详”,“沉着镇定”;指自然“无风无浪的”。

②quiet 侧重指由于无骚扰而产生的“安静的”、“宁静的”;“无动静,无声响”,或心里没有烦恼、焦虑;用于自然环境时,指没有干扰活动、没有喧闹声的寂静状态。

③silent用于事物时,侧重没有声响;有时用于指人时,强调少言寡语。

④still侧重于"不动"、"静止"时,与calm, quiet, silent不能替换;侧重于"无声"时,可与quiet替换。

如果前面是is,that从句中则用现在完成时;如果前面是was,that从句中则用过去完成时。

(4)in order to 以…为目的,用于引导目的状语,放在句首或者句中。

否定形式:in order not to句式转换:in order to=so as to do (只放在句中)=in order that+句子(只放在句中)=so that+句子(只放在句中)三、典型语法(1)简单句类型英语五种基本句型列式如下:1. SV(主+谓)2. SVP(主+谓+表)3. SVO(主+谓+宾)4. SVOO(主+谓+间宾+直宾)5. (2)并列句把两个或几个简单句用并列连词连接起来,则成为一个并列句。

I bought my sister a present, but she didn’t l ike it.常用并列连词coordinating conjunctions coordinate平行并列连词: and, both…and, not only… but also, neither…nor转折并列连词:but, while, yet因果并列连词: for, so选择并列连词:or, either…or(3)强调结构强调结构是指在句子当中有时为了突出句子的某些成分以加强语气,增强情感色彩或加强对比,需要改变句子结构,这种结构叫做强调结构。
