The Internet has had a relatively brief, but explosive history so far.(译文) It grew out of an experiment begun in the 1960s by the US Department of Defense (DOD) [1]. The DOD created a computer network, which linked U.S. scientific and academic researchers. That network was ARPANET [2] , the forerunner of today’s Internet.
