乌鸦喝水
一只乌鸦口渴了，它在低空盘旋着找水找了很久，才发现一个水瓶，便高兴 地飞了过去。可是，水瓶里水太少了，瓶口也小，乌鸦的嘴无论如何也够不着水 。乌鸦想把水瓶撞倒，可是它用尽全身的力气，水瓶仍然纹丝不动。乌鸦动了动 脑筋，往瓶子里丢了一颗石子，石子沉入瓶底，里面的水好像比原来高了一些。 “有办法了，这下我能喝到水了。”乌鸦非常高兴，它叼来许多石子丢进瓶子里， 随着石子的增多，水瓶里的水也一点一点地向上升。终于，水瓶里的水快升到瓶 口了，而乌鸦总算可以喝到水了。 这个故事告诉人们，遇到困难要运用智慧、认真思考才能让问题迎刃而解的道理 。
There be...意思是“有”，表示“人或事物的存在”或“某地有某物”。 结构：There is/are + 某物/人 +某地/人，表示某地/时有某物/人 。 There be 句型中的be 应和其后出现的补充语在数上一致，即“就近原 则”。当动词be后所接的名词是单数可数名词或不可数名词时，be 应该 取单数is；当其后所接的名词是复数的可数名词时，be用复数are。 例：There is some apple juice in the bottle.瓶子里有些苹果汁。
