Step 1 Lead in

Step 2 Work on 1a-1c
1.学生朗读1a中的单词,教师纠正错误读音,然后学生识记单词并将单词和身体部位匹配。
2.让学生仔细观察1a图片中的人物,然后认真听录音,按听到的顺序为1b中的人物标号,完成课本上1b的听力任务。
3.再听一遍录音,并跟读对话。
4.结对练习1c中的对话,并请一些学生展示他们的对话。

1.What’s the matter?你怎么了?(教材第1页)
这句话通常用于询问别人身体有什么不舒服,或有何麻烦,后跟with构成:What’s the matter with ...?类似的句子还有:What’s wrong with ...? 和What happened to ...?他们的答语往往是表示得了什么病,或什么地方不舒服,常用句型“I have a ...”。
如:have a headache,have a toothache(牙疼),have a sore throat,have a cold,have a sore back(背疼), have a fever(发烧)等。
2.should的运用
should是情态动词,表示“应该;应当”,后加动词原形,可用于各种人称。
它比must 的语气要委婉,用来表示向对方提出建议或忠告,或者表示某种义务或责任。
其否定形式为shouldn’t,意思是“不应该;不应当”。

(1)get off为“动词+副词”结构的短语,人称代词作宾语时,应放在动词与副词之间,此处意为“下车”。
(2)happen为不及物动词,意为“发生”。

(1)to one’s surprise为固定结构,意为“使某人惊讶的是;出乎某人意料”。
(2)此处surprise为不可数名词,意为“惊奇;惊讶”;作可数名词时,意为“令人吃惊的事物”。
(3)此处agree为及物动词,意为“同意”,后面可跟名词、代词、动词不定式或宾语从句。
【拓展】agree常作不及物动词,意为“同意”,后面常跟to,with,on等。

(2)此处playing soccer为现在分词短语作时间状语,常在前面加上when或while,相当于时间状语从句when/while you were playing soccer。

happen的用法
happen是不及物动词,常见用法包括:
(1)表示“某地(某时)发生了什么事”,常用“sth.+happens+in+地点/时间”这一结构来表达,此时主语应是物。
(2)表示“某人或某物出了某事(常指不好的事)”,要用“sth.+happens+to+sb./sth.”这一结构来表达。
(3)表示“某人碰巧做某事”,要用“sb.+happens+to do+sth.”这一结构来表达。
还可用“It happens+ that从句...”这一结构来表达。

Language points
1.so that 的用法
(1)so that“以便;为了”,引导目的状语从句,此时可与in order that互换;从句谓语中常用情态动词may/might,can/could,should,would 等;主从句间连接紧凑,没有逗号相隔。
(2)so that引导结果状语从句时,从句中一般不用can和may等词,并且从句与主句之间往往有逗号相隔开(即略作停顿),意思是“因此;所以”。
2.run out (of)的用法
run out和run out of 这两个短语都有“用完”的意思,但用法不同。
run out作不及物动词短语,表示“被用完;被耗尽;(人)把东西用完(或花光)”,其主语通常是金钱、时间、食物等无生命名词。
run out of 意为“用完”,是及物动词短语,表示主动,主语只能是人。
3.be used to的用法
be used to 意为“习惯于”,其中的to 是介词,所以其后要接名词或动名词(不能接动词原形);若要强调从不习惯到习惯的过程,可用get,become 等代替动词be。
【注意】be used to 有时可能是动词use 的被动语态结构(此时意为“被用来”,其中的to 为不定式符号,其后要接动词原形)。
e.g.:A hammer is used to drive in nails.锤子是用来钉钉子的。
