SUPP LEM EN T TO T HE JOU RN AL OF SUN YATSEN UNIV ERSI TY Suppl.(2) 其特点为:(1)美国期刊用美式拼写,如Anesthesia,Hema tology;英国和部分欧洲期刊用英式拼写,如Anaethesia,H aema tology.(2)在刊名字顺排列中不计the ,如J of the Am …… 如Clinics in Plastic Surgery 缩写为ClinPlast Surg ,Clinical Radiology 缩写为Clin Radiol . 1 Benning S P .Incor rect citations :a comparison of libra ry liter ature with medical liter ature .BullM ed L ib Asso ,1993,81(1):56~58 任瑞仪外文期刊刊名缩写的标准和特点医学图书馆通讯,5()36~358中山大学学报论丛 1997年2..1992:7。

journal of cellular physiology流程-回复the flow of the Journal of Cellular Physiology process.Introduction:The Journal of Cellular Physiology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes original research articles and reviews in all areas of cellular physiology. In this article, we will discuss thestep-by-step process of publishing an article in the Journal of Cellular Physiology.Step 1: SubmissionThe first step in the Journal of Cellular Physiology process is the submission of the manuscript. Authors must prepare their manuscripts according to the journal's guidelines and submit them online through the journal's submission system. The manuscript should contain all the necessary sections such as Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References.Step 2: Editorial EvaluationOnce the manuscript is submitted, it goes through an initial editorial evaluation. The editor-in-chief and associate editors assess the manuscript's suitability for publication in the journal. Theyconsider factors such as the scientific novelty, relevance to cellular physiology, methodology, and overall quality of the study. If the manuscript is deemed inappropriate for the journal's scope or does not meet the basic criteria, it may be rejected at this stage.Step 3: Peer ReviewIf the manuscript passes the initial editorial evaluation, it proceeds to the peer review process. The editor-in-chief assigns the manuscript to two or more expert reviewers who have expertise in the relevant field of study. The reviewers thoroughly evaluate the manuscript for its scientific rigor, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation. They also provide constructive feedback, suggestions for improvement, and recommend a decision to the editor-in-chief.Step 4: DecisionBased on the peer reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor-in-chief makes a decision regarding the manuscript. The decision can be one of the following:1. Acceptance: If all reviewers recommend acceptance, the manuscript is accepted for publication without any further modifications.2. Minor revision: If the reviewers suggest minor revisions, the authors are asked to address the comments and make the necessary changes.3. Major revision: If the reviewers recommend major revisions, the authors need to thoroughly revise the manuscript according to the reviewers' comments and resubmit it.4. Rejection: If the reviewers' feedback is highly critical or the manuscript does not meet the journal's standards, it may be rejected.Step 5: Revision and ResubmissionIf the manuscript requires revisions, the authors have a specific time period, usually around 1-3 months, to address the reviewers' comments and make the necessary changes. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a detailed response to each comment, explaining how the suggestions were addressed. The revised manuscript, along with the response to the reviewers' comments, is then resubmitted to the journal.Step 6: Final DecisionUpon receiving the revised manuscript, the editor-in-chief and associate editors evaluate the changes made by the authors andthe response to the reviewers' comments. They decide whether the revisions are satisfactory and whether the manuscript can be accepted for publication. If the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the manuscript moves to the next stage.Step 7: Copy Editing and ProductionOnce the manuscript is accepted, it goes through the copy editing process. The journal's editorial team ensures that the manuscript meets the journal's formatting and style requirements. The authors may be asked to review and approve the copy-edited version of their manuscript. After the copy editing is complete, the manuscript is formatted for publication and transferred to the production team.Step 8: Online PublicationAfter the production process is complete, the manuscript is published online on the journal's website. The authors and readers can access the published articles as soon as they are available online. The published articles receive a unique digital object identifier (DOI) for citation purposes.Conclusion:The Journal of Cellular Physiology follows a systematic and rigorous process for publishing articles. From submission to online publication, the manuscript goes through several stages, including editorial evaluation, peer review, revision, copy editing, and production. This process ensures the quality and integrity of the research published in the journal, making it a trusted source for cellular physiology research.。

A modelling study of locomotion-induced hyperpolarization of voltage threshold in cat lumbar motoneurones

Journal of Physiology (2002), 544.2, pp. 521–536 © The Physiological Society 2002
DOI: 10.1113/jphysiol.2002.026005
Journal of Physioocomotion in adult cat, spinal motoneurones exhibit changes in intrinsic membrane properties during the transition from the resting to the locomotor state. These state-dependent changes include a reduction in the post-spike afterhyperpolarization (AHP) (Brownstone et al. 1992; Schmidt, 1994) and a change in the relation between intracellular current injection and firing frequency (Brownstone et al. 1992; Fedirchuk et al. 1998). Krawitz et al. (2001) recently described another state-dependent change in motoneurone excitability accompanying the transition to locomotion: a hyperpolarization of the voltage threshold (Vth) for action potential (AP) initiation. While the mechanisms for this enhancement of motoneuronal excitability are unknown, the authors postulated that this effect might be mediated by neuromodulators released during locomotor activity (Krawitz et al. 2001).
The primary aim of the present study was to determine possible ionic mechanisms that might account for hyperpolarization of Vth in cat lumbar motoneurones during fictive locomotion. To this end, we built three models corresponding to three biophysical types of motoneurones (S, slow; FR, fast, fatigue resistant; FF, fast fatigable) with properties resembling those of real motoneurones recorded in vivo. The models were built with five compartments (axon, initial segment, soma, proximal dendrite and distal dendrite) of unequal size that approximated a simplified anatomical structure of real motoneurones. The passive membrane properties of the models were based on data from cat spinal motoneurones. Parameters for the 10 active conductances included in the models were taken primarily from the literature for mammalian spinal motoneurones. The ten conductances

During fictive locomotion the excitability of adult cat lumbar motoneurones is increased by a reduction (a mean hyperpolarization of ~6.0 mV) of voltage threshold (Vth) for action potential (AP) initiation that is accompanied by only small changes in AP height and width. Further examination of the experimental data in the present study confirms that Vth lowering is present to a similar degree in both the hyperpolarized and depolarized portions of the locomotor step cycle. This indicates that Vth reduction is a modulation of motoneurone membrane currents throughout the locomotor state rather than being related to the phasic synaptic input within the locomotor cycle. Potential ionic mechanisms of this locomotor-state-dependent increase in excitability were examined using three fivecompartment models of the motoneurone innervating slow, fast fatigue resistant and fast fatigable muscle fibres. Passive and active membrane conductances were set to produce input resistance, rheobase, afterhyperpolarization (AHP) and membrane time constant values similar to those measured in adult cat motoneurones in non-locomoting conditions. The parameters of 10 membrane conductances were then individually altered in an attempt to replicate the hyperpolarization of Vth that occurs in decerebrate cats during fictive locomotion. The goal was to find conductance changes that could produce a greater than 3 mV hyperpolarization of Vth with only small changes in AP height (< 3 mV) and width (< 1.2 ms). Vth reduction without large changes in AP shape could be produced either by increasing fast sodium current or by reducing delayed rectifier potassium current. The most effective Vth reductions were achieved by either increasing the conductance of fast sodium channels or by hyperpolarizing the voltage dependency of their activation. These changes were particularly effective when localized to the initial segment. Reducing the conductance of delayed rectifier channels or depolarizing their activation produced similar but smaller changes in Vth. Changes in current underlying the AHP, the persistent Na+ current, three Ca2+ currents, the ‘h’ mixed cation current, the ‘A’ potassium current and the leak current were either ineffective in reducing Vth or also produced gross changes in the AP. It is suggested that the increased excitability of motoneurones during locomotion could be readily accomplished by hyperpolarizing the voltage dependency of fast sodium channels in the axon hillock by a hitherto unknown neuromodulatory action.
