Teaching Procedures:
Step 1Warming-up
Recall the cardinal numeral that they have learnt before by singing the song named ten little Indian boys.ask students if they know the ordinal way to count these numbers to lead in this class.
Step 2 Presentation
Present the new words from first to thirtieth and then compare them with 1-30,students read these new words with me. Ask students if they can find the relation between ordinal numeral and cardinal numeral.And then draw students’ attention on the spelling and pronunciation of “first/second
third/fifth/twelfth/twentieth/thirtieth”.and then play a words game with students.
Step 3consolidation
Group discussion and invite students to introduce themselves by using the new words we have learnt today.
Step 4 Summary and homework
Students are required to share what they have learnt with their parents.
