Take interest in the world around you, and learn at least the new thing every day. Do n’t think that you are ever too young to go back to school. I know a man entered a medical college at 70. He got his degree with honors and became a famous doctor. Other man went to a law school at 71 and is now a active lawyer. You may say that staying young is easy only for that living in the future. In fact, you can do it whether you care enough to try to keep your mind awake and active, what is the only way to be always.五One day after school, on the way home, I happened see a little boy turning off a tap and splashing water here and there on the ground. Besides, there are a very limited water resource in our world. So we mustn’t take some measures to getting rid of such wasteful habits. Everyone must save water so that development of the world and mankind can continue.六Learning English is great importance. English is widely used all over the world. It was often used in the international meetings. Most business letters are written in English. With a help of English we can learn modern science and technology from the developed countries. We can also introduce our achievement and experiences to other countries. Because of their importance, English is a requiring subject in high schools and colleges. Now many people are working hardly at English. It’s very important to learn English well. If we learn English well, we can serve for our country better.

2.辨析:when,while,as引导时间状语从句。

3.辨析:because,since,as引导原因状语从句。

And I can play outside too!(2016·四川卷·书面表达)我也可以在外面玩。

parents do to help their kids grow up to lead happy lives?Experts advise:1.Helping them find their talents. In order to succeed, children need to feel they’re good at something. So expose your children to as many interests as possible, then let them choose those they like best.2.Applauding their achievements. A study found that students whose parents paid attention to their abilities were far more likely to do well in school—and in life—than students whose parents didn’t show such support. So celebrate your kids’achievements,no matter how small they are.3.Praising their efforts.Kids won’t always come out on top.Still, they deservekudos (赞誉) for tr ying their best.Tenyearold April Cutler, for example, has had trouble with math since second grade.“She usually gets C’s on her report card, but last year she was determined to get A’s and worked hard at it,” says her mom.“When the first grading period end ed,April was disappointed when she got a B minus in math,” Lueille continues.“But my husband and I told her we were very proud that she’d improved. That inspired her to try even harder. She got a B plus for the next period!”4.Letting them make decisions and mistakes.Making his/her own decisions increases a child’s sense of control and builds his/her selfesteem (自尊心).And allowing kids to make wrong decisions—so long as doing so won’t harm them—helps kids learn from their mistakes.5.Encouraging them to solve their own problems. As they grow, children need practice in communicating, standing up for themselves and compromising. One of the best places to learn these skills is at home.So the next time your child runs to you complaining that her brother is blaming her, step back and let them work it out.46.What is the purpose of the passage?A.To encourage parents to admire their kids.B.To show how to praise kids.C.To help kids study harder.D.To give advice on how to help kids become mature.47.The passage is mainly intended for________.A.kids B.parents C.teachers D.educators 48.From the example of April Cutler,we can learn that________.A.praising kids’ efforts can help them make greater progressB.setting a high goal makes kids feel discouragedC.solving problems by themselves helps kids feel confidentD.interest is the best teacher49.Why should parents allow kids to make mistakes?A.Making mistakes is a normal thing for a kid.B.Adults also make mistakes now and then.C.Kids can learn something valuable from their mistakes.D.Making mistakes won’t harm kids.B(2009年黄冈2月,A) Looking back on my childhood,I am convinced that naturalists are born and not made.Although we were all brought up in the same way,my brothers and sisters soon abandoned their pressed flowers and insects.Unlike them,I had no ear for music and languages.I was not an early reader and I could not do mental arithmetic. Before World War Ⅰ we spent our summer holidays in Hungary.I have only the dim memory of the house we lived in,of my room and my toys.Nor do I recall clearly the large family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who gathered next door. But I do have a clear memory of the dogs, the farm animals, the local birds, and above all,the insects.I am a naturalist, not a scientist.I have a strong love of the natural world and my enthusiasm led me into varied investigations.I love discussing my favorite topics and enjoy burning the midnight oil while reading about other people’s observations and discoveries. Then something happens that brings these observations together in my conscious mind.Suddenly you fancy you see the answer to the riddle, because it all seems to fit together. This has resulted in my publishing 300 papers and books, which some might honor with the title of scientific research. But curiosity,a keen eye,a good memory and enjoyment of the animal and plant world do not make a scientist:one of the outstanding and essential qualities requiredis selfdiscipline,a quality I lack.A scientist requires not only selfdiscipli ne,but hard training, determination and a goal.A scientist,up to a certain point, can be made.A naturalist is born.If you can combine the two,you get the best of both worlds.50.The first paragraph tells us the author________.A.was interested in flowers and insects in his childhoodB.lost his hearing when he was a childC.didn’t like his brothers and sistersD.was born to a naturalist’s family51.The author can’t remember his relatives clearly because________.A.he didn’t live very long with themB.the family was extremely largeC.he was too young when he lived with themD.he was fully occupied with observing nature52.Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?A.The author is a went into that restaurant you recently tried, how did you know that it served great food?If you are like most people on the planet, you want to lower your risk of a big ugly surprise s o you asked people you trust to refer to a business they trust.Marketers call this friendtofriend recognition of a business “wordofmouth” advertising. When you do a great job for your customer or a bad job, people are going to talk about your business.Unfortunately, because we huma ns seem to feel negative emotions more intensively than positive ones,we’re more likely to tell more of our friends about bad experiences with a business than positive ones.Understand this:Customers believe their own experience. You can’t make them believe t hat your company is wonderful when they felt they were treated badly. So,to get positive wordofmouth going for your business in this servicebased economy, you’ve got to do a really outstanding job for everyone, exactly. And when you do,you build a great reputation. That takes time. But it forms a close link with your customers in a way that no advertising and no promotional coupon (优惠券) ever could. The good news is that because there are so many different businesses chasing after your customers’money, people want to know whom they can trust. So people are going to be talking about you.Create a free sales force for your business—an army of On Saturday af ternoon, Li Hua and Wang Ping, members from “Green Eyes”, was having an environmental protection activity near the riverside when they catch sight of a bird on the ground. They picked it out and found it wounded. Thinking it should die without timely help, they took it home. Under their treatment and care, the lucky bird got recovered soon. When time came for them to fly the bird, they felt a bit of pity but very delightful. I think it’s worthwhile for him to do such a thing. Here I call on the public to show respects to the nature. Only by changing the way which we treat the environment can we get along well with it.

Here are the information about Manchester University. It is about 200 miles away from London and it has the very big schoolyard. You can live in the school or near the school. They have all sorts of course. I'm sure you will find one you like it.
I know you are particularly interesting in human rights. So I will see that there is anything on their website. I will send my friend Charlie meet you at the airport
when you arrived. You met him a few years ago, but he had changed a lot since then. Both your aunt or I look forward to seeing you again.

Dear Susan,
I’m very gladly to hear you are coming to visit me the next Friday. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to meet you at the airport although I have classes in the afternoon. You won’t find difficult to get to the city center. The airport bus leaves every 30 minute and will take you rightly to the Friendship Hotel. My classes will be over by then or I will pick you up there. I will take you together to a hot pot restaurant for dinner and we’ll talk with our plan for the weekend over dinner. Having a pleasant trip and see you next Friday.
You rs,
Zhang Ming
