冀教版小学英语三年级起始第七册Lesson18 The Snowman教学设计教案背景：步入小学高年级，冀教版小学英语课本的篇幅变得较长，容量较大，语篇中涉及一定量的生词、句型以及文化背景知识。
英语教师是侧重于对课文意思的理解，还是顾及英语生词教学和新的语法结构知识的教学？其中故事课的教学要讲的东西多而杂，难以取舍，不得要领。
出于小学高年级的英语语篇阅读教学的分寸教师较难把握这一点，2009下半年，石家庄市桥西区英语教研室将“小学英语语篇阅读教学的实践与研究”作为全区英语教师的主研课题，作为在一线多年从事小学英语教学的我也积极投身其中。
首先我认真研读了小学英语新课程标准，将小学英语语篇阅读教学的主要目标和任务定为三方面：1、首先培养学生阅读能力，即获取语言信息的能力：①培养学生的阅读技能技巧： (解决生词技巧)猜测、略读、寻读等。
②指导学生运用技能技巧来理解语篇大意、了解重点、弄清语篇中的事实和观点、理清思路和线索等。
2、其次是学习语言知识、提高语言技能，并整合各项技能，对学生进行综合语言技能训练。
①语言知识包括语音、语法、词汇、句法等。
②语言技能包括听、说、读、写等。
3、激发学生阅读兴趣，促进学习策略形成，了解一些文化差异培养文化意识等。
总之，就是教会学生如何使用语言。
即以阅读语篇为基本形式，在培养和发展学生的英语阅读理解能力（获取信息、整理信息、处理信息、加工信息和利用信息的能力）和英语语篇阅读技巧的同时，“使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力，提高人文素养，增强实践能力，培养创新精神”。
在教课前，我依据教学参考书提供的英语语篇阅读教学的基本流程来组织教学。
基本过程分为三步：（一）阅读前活动（Before-reading activities or Pre-reading）“阅读前活动”是英语语篇阅读教学的前奏和基础。
阅读前活动的目的是激活学生已有的知识体验，提供背景知识，引出话题，解决语言障碍。

二、学情分析
本节课的教学对象为七年级学生，经过前一阶段的学习，他们已经具备了一定的英语基础，掌握了一些基本词汇和简单的句型。在此基础上，学生对本节课的学习内容充满好奇，有较高的学习热情。然而，学生在英语表达方面仍存在一定的困难，尤其在描述外貌方面，可能存在词汇量不足、句型运用不熟练等问题。

4.教师巡回指导，关注学生讨论过程中的问题，并及时给予解答。
（四）课堂练习
