The chart below shows the process of waste paper recycling.范文:The flow chart shows how waste paper is recycled. It is clear that there are six distinct stages in this process, from the initial collection of waste paper to the eventual production of usable paper. At the first stage in the paper recycling process, waste paper is collected either from paper banks, where members of the public leave their used paper, or directly from businesses. This paper is then sorted by hand and separated according to its grade, with any paper that is not suitablefor recycling being removed. Next, the graded paper is transported to a paper mill.Stages four and five of the process both involve cleaning. The paper is cleaned and pulped, and foreign objects such as staples are taken out. Following this, all remnants of inkand glue are removed from the paper at the de-inking stage. Finally, the pulp can be processed in a paper making machine, which makes the end product: usable paper.(160 words, band 9)。

At first"、"To begin with"、"In the firststage"等引出。

Different people have different views on opportunity. Some people think that there are few opportunities in the world, while others argue that everybody will have some kind of opportunity along his life route. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion. For one thing, I firmly believe opportunities are everywhere around us. No person will be unlucky enough to have no opportunities all the time, because “every dog has his day”. For another, since opportunities are transient, we have to make good preparations and improve ourselves. Just think of Newton, who discovered the Law ofGravity when many people had watched an apple falling ahead of him.Taking all these factors into consideration, we may safely come to the conclusion that there are quite a few opportunities in our society. Only if we get prepared can we seize the opportunities instead of letting them slip by, just as the saying goes, “Opportunities are only for the prepared minds”.①People’s opinions are always differentonce they talk about ____ . They argue this practice has several advantages. First, the impending deadline gives them a last-minute drive, which can help them finish the job quickly. Second, if they have a lot of time to finish the job, they cannot concentrate on the project quickly because they are not pressed by time. For example, some children have some homework for his winter vacation, but they always do it in the last week.I am afraid I cannot agree with their opinion. To begin with, although you may feelanxious to finish the work when the deadline is drawing near, it doesn’t mean you can finish your job with high quality. In the second place, a wise man will not always leave his task until the last minute. If a person wants to be highly efficient, he should learn to divide his tasks into several small parts, and set deadlines for each of them. Finally, as to the children finishing assignments, I believe that they can’t enjoy themselves with their assignments unfinished. From the above analysis, we may arrive at the conclusion that putting work until the last minute is not a wise choice.①Recently it seems that _____ . Although this issue has long been discussed and examined, it would not be true to say that unanimous agreement has beenreached. In my belief, the more beneficial steps in improving the overall environment of our city are as follows. So why not _____. 又如…The well-known proverb “Practice makes perfect”has long been accepted by all of us. It tells us that we have to practice again and again whenever we want to be an expert in a special field.Let’s take English study as an example. If you want to enlarge your vocabulary, you have to understand English words in the context and then learn them by heart. It is also true with English writing. Listening to teachers attentively in class and reciting sample articles are far from necessary --- you should practice writing every week and then ask teachers to go over it.Another good case in point is skating. Nobody is born a good skater, and one canonly become a skilled skater after countless falls and injuries. Every Chinese was excited when Yang Yang won the first Winter Olympics gold medal in Salt Lake City, but who knew what difficulties and hardships the girl had been through?Judging from the examples given above, we may safely come to the conclusion that practice makes perfect. So why not put what you are learning into practice? I am sure you will become experienced and skillful if you keep on doing it.①There is a famous saying, _____, which means _____. If you want to be successful, you should pay attention to not only speed but also quality.A case in point is writing research papers. Conducting scientific research requires careful planning and great patience. You cannot make scientific breakthroughs in a short time just as Rome was not built in a day. Similarly, you can never write a good research paper unless you concentrate on what you are doing and have a right attitude towards failure. When it comes to painting, it is also the case. Only after years of training and practicecan you hope to learn the essence of painting. You can never hope to make great progress in a short time. From what has been discussed above, we should understand the meaning of “Haste makes waste”more clearly. On the one hand, we should set an aim and be determined to fulfill it. On the other hand, we should not always be in a hurry. The best way is to have a concrete plan and put it to practice step by step.①_____ is a well-known proverb which all of us are familiar with. I fully agree with it and its implication, in my mind, can be justified in three respects.②First, it takes time to accomplish a task-_____. Second, _____. Third, looking at the matter from another perspective, we will find that _____.③Living in an age when _____. The diagrams below show how houses can be protected in areas which are prone to flooding. The diagrams compare two different methods of defence for homes which are atrisk of being flooded. The key difference between the diagrams is that they show flood protection with and without a stopbank. In either case, the at-risk home is raised on stilts above ground level. The first diagram shows how a stopbank acts as a flood barrier to stop river water from flooding homes. The stopbank is a small mound of land next to the river that is higher than the 100-year flood level, and prevents the river from bursting its banks. Nearby houses can be built on stilts to prevent flooding from rainwater, and a floodgate beneath the stopbank can be opened to allow this ‘ ponding ' to drain off into the river. When there is no stopbank, as shown in the second diagram, there will be nothing to stop the river from flooding. In this case, the solution is to put buildings on stilts. The height of the stilts is measured so that the floor of the houseis 300mm above the 100-year flood level. This measurement is called the‘ freeboard '. The diagrams below show some principles of house design for cool and for warmclimates. The diagrams show how house designs differ according to climate. The most noticeable difference between houses designed for cool and warmclimates is in the shape of the roof. The designs also differ with regard to thewindows and the use of insulation. We can see that the cool climate house has a high-angled roof, which allowssunlight to enter through the window. By contrast, the roof of the warm climatehouse has a peak in the middle and roof overhangs to shade the windows.Insulation and thermal building materials are used in cool climates to reduceheat loss, whereas insulation and reflective materials are used to keep the heatout in warm climates. Finally, the cool climate house has one window which faces the direction of thesun, while the warm climate house has windows on two sides which are shaded fromthe sun. We can see that the complete life cycle lasts between 34 and 36 days. It is also noticeable that there are five main stages in the development of the honey bee, from egg to mature adult insect. The life cycle of the honey bee begins when the female adult lays an egg; the female typically lays one or two eggs every 3 days. Between 9 and 10 days later, each egg hatches and the immature insect, or nymph, appears.During the third stage of the life cycle, the nymph grows in size and sheds its skin three times. This moulting first takes place 5 days after the egg hatches, then 7 days later, and again another 9 days later. After a total of 30 to 31 days from the start of the cycle, the young adult honey bee emerges from its final moulting stage, and in the space of only 4 days it reaches full maturity. The diagram below shows the water cycle, which is the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth. The picture illustrates the way in which water passes from ocean to air to land during the natural process known as the water cycle.Three main stages are shown on the diagram. Ocean water evaporates, falls as rain, and eventually runs back into the oceans again.Beginning at the evaporation stage, we can see that 80% of water vapour in the air comes from the oceans. Heat from the sun causes water to evaporate, and water vapour condenses to form clouds. At the second stage, labelled ‘ precipitation ' on the diagram, water falls asrain or snow.At the third stage in the cycle, rainwater may take various paths. Some of it may fall into lakes or return to the oceans via ‘ surface runoff ' . Otherwise, rainwater may filter throughthe ground, reaching the impervious layer of the earth. Salt water intrusion is shown to take place just before groundwater passes into the oceans to complete the cycle. The diagram below shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use. The picture illustrates the process of producing electricity in a home using solar panels. It is clear that there are five distinct stages in this process, beginning with the capture of energy from sunlight. The final two steps show how domestic electricity is connected to the external power supply. At the first stage in the process, solar panels on the roof of a normal house take energy from the sun and convert it into DC current. Next, this current is passed to an inverter, which changes it to AC current and regulates the supply of electricity. At stage three, electricity is supplied to the home from an electrical panel. At the fourth step shown on the diagram, a utility meter in the home is responsible for sending any extra electric power outside the house into the grid. Finally, if the solar panels do not provide enough energy for the household, electricity will flow from the utility grid into the home through the meter. The diagram shows the process of weather forcast by Australian Bureau of Meteorology满分范文:The figure illustrates the process used by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to forecast the weather. There are four stages in the process, beginning with the collection of information about the weather.
The diagram shows process of producing chocolate in the factory. The given process chart illustrates the process, by which chocolate is produced in the factory, in ten steps from growing of trees to producing liquid chocolate.
Crush the leaves and put them in a container. Boil them for about an hour in water and then add honey in it. The leaves are first crushed and put in a container where they are boiled in water for about an hour. Afterward, honey is added in the boiled mixture.

无忧网上的范例(仅供参考)1.《蚕丝制作》Sample:As is displayed in the first diagram, the life cycle of the silkworm can be categorized into 4 main stages. First, the life of the silkworm starts from eggs propagated by the moth, and it takes 10 days for each egg to become a silkworm larva that feeds on mulberry leaves. Silkworm larva continues to grow in 4 to 6 weeks, then wrapping itself with silk thread to construct a cocoon in the next 3 to 8 weeks.A moth can be produced from the cocoon in 16 days. The life cycle begins again from then on.Focusing on the second diagram, it illustrates the 5 main steps of the procedure of producing silk cloth. Well generated cocoons will be selected firstly. Before the silk thread can be unwound, cocoons have to be boiled in hot water. One cocoon can produce approximately 300 to 900 metres of silk thread. The unwound thread will be dyed afterwards to be weaved into silk cloth.Overall, the two diagrams reveal the stage of producing cocoons in the life cycle of the silkworm can be used to make silk cloth through 5 simple steps.Cambridge IELTS 6 Version:The first diagram shows that there are four main stages in the life of the silk worm.First of all, eggs are produced by the moth and it takes ten days for each egg to become a silkworm larva that feeds on mulberry leaves. This stage lasts for up to six weeks until the larva produces a cocoon of silk thread around itself. After a period of about three weeks, the adult moths eventually emerge from these cocoons and the life cycle begins again. The cocoons are the raw material used for the production of silk cloth. Once selected, they are boiled in water and the threads can be separated in the unwinding stage. Each thread is between 300 and 900 metres long, which means they can be twisted together, dyed and then used to produce cloth in the weaving stage.Overall, the diagrams show that the cocoon stage of the silkworm can be used to produce silk cloth through a very simple process.2. 《户外取水》The chart describes how water is obtained outdoors.According to the figure, the first step of obtaining water outdoors is to find a hole with green plants on its bottom. Next, remove the green plants in the middle and put a container there. Then, cover the hole with a plastic sheet and place two stones on both ends of it to secure its position. A third stone is laid on the middle of the plastic sheet so that the middle part is also the lowest part. When the sun shines on the green plants in the hole, water evaporates from these plants. The vapor rises up and then cools down to form water drops on the plastic sheet. When there is more and more water, it flows along the sheet to accumulate on the lowest part. Finally, water falls down into the container directly under the middle stone. Thus, water is collected successfully through evaporation from green plants.3.《化肥的制作》As is shown in the flow chart, the process of recycling organic waste to produce compost is really a complex one.The whole process can be categorized into five stages. First of all, prepare a plastic container which has four holes for ventilating the air. There is a rule when putting waste into the container, food at the bottom within 15 centimeters high, grass at the middle and newspaper at the top within 15 centimeters high altogether, in order to make a optimum environment for different bacteria reproducing. In the following stage, we can witness nitrogen and water being put into the container. What's worth mentioning is that water is only added in a hot weather. Next, heat the waste and let the bacteria reproduce fastly, with which the organic waste can be decomposed and became garden fertiliser after 6 months. Subsequently, we can carry the compost out and move it to the garden, thus a new recycling can begin. In conclusion, using this way to turn the organic waste into garden fertiliser is environmentally friendly. By enlarging the number or volume of the container, we can dispose more waste at the same time.4. How chocolate is produced? The diagram shows the stages in the process of making chocolate.Chocolate comes from the cacao tree, which is grown in parts of South America, Africa and Indonesia. The tree produces large red pods which contain white cocoa beans. Firstly, when the pods are ripe, they are harvested, the beans are removed and they are fermented for several days in large wooden boxes. During the fermenting process, the beans turn brown.Next, the brown beans are spread in the sun to dry. They are then put in large sacks and transported by train or lorry. After this, the beans are taken to a chocolate factory where they are roasted in an oven at temperatures of between 250 and 350 degree Celsius. After being roasted, the beans are crushed and the outer shell is removed. This part is not needed for making chocolate. Finally, the inner part of the bean is pressed and liquid chocolate is produced.5. Brick manufacturingThe process by which bricks are manufactured for the building industry can be outlined in seven consecutive steps. First the raw material, clay, which was just below the surface of soil in certain clay-rich areas has to be dug up by a digger. Then the lumps of clay are placed on a metal grid in order to break up the big chunks of clay into much smaller areas, which fall through the metal grid onto a roller, whose motion further segregates the bits of clay. Sand and water are added to make a homogenous mixture, which is then either formed in moulds or cut into brick-shaped pieces by means of a wire cutter. Those fresh bricks are then kept in a drying oven for at least 24 and a maximum of 48 hours, several dozens if not hundreds of bricks at a time. The dried bricks are then transferred to a so-called kiln, another type of high temperature oven. First they are kept at a moderate temperature of 200 ℃ -1300 ℃ . This process is followed by cooling down the finished bricks for 48 to 72 hours in a cooling chamber.Once the bricks have cooled down and have become hard, they get packaged and delivered to their final destination, be it a building site or storage.6.
• Overall, the diagrams show that the cocoon stage of the silkworm can be used to produce silk cloth through a very simple process.
and make comparisons where relevant.
• Write at least 150 words.
• The first diagram shows that there are four main stages in the life of the silkworm. First of all, eggs are produced by the moth and it takes ten days for each egg to become a silkworm larva that feeds on mulberry leaves. This stage lasts for up to six weeks until the larva produces a cocoon of silk thread around itself. After a period of about three weeks, the adult moths eventually emerge from these cocoons and the life cycle begins again.
• The cocoons are the raw material used for the production of silk cloth. Once selected, they are boiled in water and the threads can be separated in the unwinding stage. Each thread is between 300 and 900 metres long, which means they can be twisted together, dyed and then used to produce cloth in the weaving stage.
