The cristal palace
• 水晶宫与世博会于1851年同时诞生,水晶宫是英国伦敦一 个以钢铁为骨架、玻璃为主要建材的建筑,是十九世纪 的英国建筑奇观之一。“水晶宫”建成于1851年,最初位 于伦敦市中心的海德公园内,是万国工业博览会场地。1 854年被迁到伦敦南部,在1936年的一场大火中被付之一 炬。英国前首相丘吉尔曾表示它的烧毁是“一个时代的 终结”。
