Little Red Hen
教学内容:Little Red Hen
教学目标:
1.通过阅读故事,能够理解故事内容,按要求完成练习。
2.通过本课的学习,学生能会读会用词汇、句型:plant the wheat, have to rest, take a nap, weed the wheat field, take a bath, become ripe, harvest the wheat Who will help me…? I will ...all by myself.
3.通过听、说、读、写、想等多种方式的训练,发展学生的英语学习能力。
4.通过学习此篇小故事,学生能够体会到劳动的艰辛和收获的喜悦,懂得“一分耕耘,才会有一分收获”的道理。
教学的重点:
1.使学生能够看懂故事,按要求完成练习,并能有感情地朗读和表演故事。
2.从听、说、读、写等方面入手,培养学生学习英语的综合能力。
教学难点:
1.学生能看图创编情景对话。
2.使学生能充分发挥想象力,并以小组合作的形式续写故事,表演故事。

教学过程:
Step 1: Warming up
1.Sing the song《Ali BaBa’s Farm》
2.Free talk and teach the new words: little red hen
T: On Ali Baba’s farm, there are some animals. Do you like animals?S: Yes , we do.
T:Today I’ll tell you an interesting story about the “Hen”————Little Red Hen.(学生读题目)
Little Red Hen has two friends. Who are they? Let’s listen guess and mimic.

[设计意图]
通过唱这首歌一方面活跃课堂气氛,拉近与学生的距离,消除学生的紧张感,营造良好的学习气氛,另一方面可以自然地过渡到农场上的小动物,进而引出主人公“little red hen ”.通过听动物的叫声来猜动物能激发学生的好奇心自然引出pig 和goat,模仿三种动物有趣的叫声,激发学生的兴趣,也为后面更好地朗读和表演作铺垫。
Step 2 : Lead the story
1.Enjoy some pictures.
T: What are they doing?

通过倒叙的形式巧妙地设计悬念,抓住学生眼球,激发他们的好奇心,并为故事埋下伏笔。同时拉出一条时间线索,使学生对故事的脉络有个初步地认识。
Step 3: Spring
1. Watch and think. What did the little red hen decide to do?
2. Watch the cartoon.
3. Answer the question and learn the phrase : plant the wheat
[设计意图]
通过看一遍动画回答问题,培养学生抓细节的能力,了解故事的主要事件“种麦子”。因为学生不会朗读“plant the wheat”,所以采用了选择题的形式让学生来回答,这样降低了学习难度,并自然引出“plant the wheat”的教学,显得轻松而自然。

通过让学生有感情地,形象地朗读三种动物所说的话,一方面能激发孩子爱模仿的天性,并在这个过程中学习短语:have to rest, take a nap,另一方面也为下面更好地学和演打下基础。
Step 4:Summer
1.What do they do in the summer?
2.Let the students read “summer”by themselves and line the answer.
3.Check the answer, and learn the phrases: weed the wheat field, take a bath Read and act.
[设计意图]
首先让学生自主阅读找出答案,发展他们自主学习的能力,并使他们在完成练习的过程中轻松地学习词汇,学生学得没有负担,然后以男女生和老师的角色朗读让学生体会到朗读的乐趣。
Step 5: Autumn
1.Read the aside and learn the phrases: become ripe, harvest the wheat.

[设计意图]
这一环节重点训练了学生听的能力,并在听完后让学生在小组内进行角色朗读,然后让孩子们带上头套展示他们朗读的技巧,调动了课堂气氛,并使孩子们说的能力得到充分地锻炼。
