Defect/NG不良描述偏差: deviation差异: discrepancy异常: abnormality不良: defect/NG失效,故障: failure/malfunction不合格品,次品: defective goods不合格品,次品: NG goods/rejected product/ rejected production不良材料,不符材料: nonconforming material失败: fail通过: pass灰色地带: gray zone备注：（1）Discrepancy 指“差异”，常用来表示异常或不符的状况。
（2）Defect 为名词，defective 为形容词。
（3）设备上通常显示FAIL或NG来表示不良，显示PADD 或OK 来表示良品。
此外，很多设备是以报警（alarm）的方式来提醒有不良产生。
（4）对于那些处于良与不良的边缘地带（或灰色地带）的产品，通常需要资深人士来作判断或作出如何处理的结论。
不良现象: defect phenomenon不良代码: error code不良数: defect quantity不良率: defect rate每百万个零件中不良品数: Defect Parts Per Million(缩写为DPPM)备注：除了用DPPM 来表示不良率以外，还常用百分比来表示不良率，例如：NG rate 为10%，意思是不良率为10%。
外观: cosmetic外观不良: cosmetic defect外观标准: cosmetic specification备注：在工厂内，“外观”常用cosmetic 来表述，这种表述方式是行业内的习惯用法。
通常，不用appearance 来指外观。
变形: deformation/distortion热变形：heat distortion破损：broken弯曲：warp扭曲：twist翘曲、倾斜：title倾斜：slant偏移：offset生锈：rust氧化：oxidize褐色：fade裂痕：crack剥离：peel off毛边：burr/flash备注：“金属毛边”常用burr 来表述，”塑胶毛边“常用flash 来表述。
