常用易混形容词

1. beneficial (有益的)and beneficent （仁慈的）

e.g. Fresh air is beneficial to health.

The kind-hearted man is beneficent to the poor.

2. childish (孩子气的) and childlike （孩子般天真的/诚实的）

e.g. The man is rather childish.

She has a childlike love for a doll.

3. comparable（可比较的）comparative (比较的)

e.g. Our college is not comparable with yours.

He is an expert on comparative literature.

4. contemptible(可鄙视的)and contemptuous（表示轻蔑的，蔑视的）

e.g. The contemptible man is selfish and vain.
