Unit3 Food
Lesson1
According to the English course standard, I’ll explain it from 6 aspects.
1.Analysis of teaching material
Now let’s focus on the ‘Analysis of teaching material’, there are 3 parts.
1)Analysis of book. I’ll introduce the Lesson1 of Unit3. It’s from SL ,Book 5. This unit mainly talks about food. Students can ask if others like some kind of food . Students can ask what someone want to eat three meals a day.
2)Analysis of lesson. In Lesson1, there are 4 parts. From the main scene, students can perceive and learn the new words about food in the context. In part A, students can learn new words through the chant. In part B, students can use the key structures to practice the new words in the context. In part C, students can trace and write.
3)Analysis of students.
Most of the students have strong interest in learning English.
The students love performance and imitation.
A few students have poor basic handwriting.
Students have known the structures: Do you like...? Yes, I do./ No,
I don’t…; I want…; words: egg、apple, fish, vegetables, chicken,
noodles, rice...; The main scene, chant and words are new knowledge.
2. Teaching aims
That’s all for the teaching material. Let’s focus on the teaching aims.
1) Aims of knowledge and abilities: Based on the students’ comprehensive ability and quality
Ss can understand, speak out and read the 7 new words .
Ss can write the 7 new words in four lines and three squares.
Ss can have good abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
2) Aims of emotion: Based on the students’ affective attitude and thinking character
Ss can improve their ability of cooperation and communication.
Ss can have a good habit of not picky food.
3.Key points and difficult points
That’s all for the teaching aims. Now, let’s focus on the Key points and difficult points. Based on the students’ language cognitive ability.
Key points:
To perceive and learn the 7 new words in situations.
Difficult points:
Ss can master the pronunciation of the new words.
4.Teaching and learning methods
To achieve teaching aims and stimulate students’ interest in learning English. I’ll use ‘Task-based teaching method’ and ‘Situational teaching method’.
To make the learning easier. I’ll use group work, discussion and interaction.
To make class more active and interesting, I need these teaching aids: cards, multimedia and brief strokes.
5.Teaching procedures and purposes of design
Now, I’ll focus on the most important part, there are 5 steps.
