《综合英语4》教学大纲 Comprehensive English 4课程编码:22502104 课程类型:学科专业基础课程课程学时:96 课程学分:6 编写人:张哲华审定人:黄章成一、课程性质与任务本课程是是本科英语专业低年级的一门学科基础课程,是英语专业基础阶段全面培养和提高学生语言能力和交际能力的一门课程,其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。

本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力。

综合英语课程在整个基础英语教学中具有重要奠基作用。

综合英语Ⅳ在承接综合英语Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ的基础上,进一步系统传授基础语言知识,英语语法、词汇、语音等的同时,进一步加大篇章结构分析和理解的内容,训练学生基本语言技能,为学生打好更加扎实的基本功,从而提高学生初步运用英语进行交际的能力,以及提高文化素养、独立学习和逻辑思维的能力。

通过本学期教学,学生要求达到专业四级水平。

具体的单项教学要求规定如下:1.词汇:通过综合英语课和其它途径,认知词汇达6000-7000个,正确而熟练地运用其中的3000-4000个及其最基本的搭配,能在会话和写作中正确运用。

2.听:听懂英语国家人士关于日常生活和社会生活的谈话;听懂中等难度的听力材料,掌握中心大意,理解主要内容,领会作者的态度、感情和真实意图;能听懂相当于VOA正常语速和BBC新闻节目的主要内容;能在15分钟内听写根据已学知识编写而成或选用的录音材料(词数200个左右,念四遍,语速为每分钟120个单词),错误率不超过7%。

3.说:发音正确,较好地掌握朗读和说话的节奏感及语流中的语音变化规律;较好掌握语段中语音轻重和新旧信息传递之间的关系;能在一般社交场合与英语国家人士交谈,做到正确表达思想,语音、语调自然,基本无语法错误,语言基本得体。

4.读:能读懂一般难度的英文原著,要求在理解的基础上抓住要点,并能运用正确观点评价思想内容;能5分钟内速读800词左右英美国家出版的中等难度的文章和材料;能掌握所读材料的主旨大意,了解说明主旨大意的事实和细节;既理解字面意思,又能根据所读材料进行判断和推理;既能理解个别句子的意义,也理解上下文的逻辑关系。

一、教学对象本大纲的教学对象是中央广播电视大学英语专业专科学生或具有同等水平的参加本课程的自学者。

2.说的能力1)能就指定的材料进行问答、复述;2)能与英语国家人士进行一般的日常会话;3)能就熟悉的话题经准备后做2—3分钟发言;在完成上述任务时,要求语音、语调比较正确,无重大语法错误,并能比较准确地表达思想。

3.读的能力1)能阅读中等难度的一般性题材的英文材料(包括相应程度英文原作),了解大意,抓住要点和有关细节,并能根据所读材料进行推理分析,领会作者意图;阅读速度为每分钟60─70个词;2)在阅读篇幅较长、难度略低、生词不超过总词数3%的材料时,能理解大意,领会要点并掌握有关细节,根据上下文和构词法知识推测和判断词义,快速阅读时速度能达到每分钟120-130词。

《综合英语4》考试大纲
一、考试要求和内容
总体要求:
综合英语是英语专业基础阶段一门融语言知识和语言技能为一体的基础技能课程。

其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力,增进对英语国家文化和社会的了解,以帮助学生形成开阔的国际视野和跨文化交际能力为基本任务。

本课程主要通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,帮助学生扩大词汇量、熟悉英语常用句型,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解的能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,具备一定的口头与笔头表达能力,并培养学生实际运用语言的能力,为进入高年级学习打下扎实的专业基础。

本考试主要测试考生的英语词汇语法、阅读、表达、运用能力,对英语国家文化的了解程度,以及逻辑思维能力,学生应按本大纲的要求参加考试。

英语专业专升本学生均需参加本科目的考试。

该科目的考试成绩是衡量学生是否有资格进入更高层次学习的重要依据。

考试内容:
(一)英语词汇、短语、语法结构以及基本语法概念
1.考试内容:本部分为客观题,题型为选择题。

共30道题,每题有四个选项.约50%为词汇、词组和短语的用法,约50%为语法结构。

2.考试要求:要求能灵活正确运用英语专业教学大纲基础阶段所要求掌握的语法结构全部内容,认知教学大纲词汇表对基础阶段所规定的5500-6000个认识词汇,正确而熟练地运用其中的3000-4000个及其最基本的搭配。

(二)英语综合语言运用
1.考试内容:本部分为客观题,题型为选择题。

向考生提供一篇约250个单词的题材熟悉、难度适中的短文,在短文留出10个空白,文后为每个空白提供四个选择项。

2.考试要求:要求考生在全面理解短文内容的基础上,选择答案,进而使短文的意思和结构恢复完整,成为内容连贯、没有语法错误的通顺文章。

(三)英语篇章阅读
1.考试内容:本部分为客观题,题型为选择题。

阅读材料由3篇阅读材料组成.每篇材料后有5道题. 学生应根据所读材料内容,从每题的四个选择项中
选出一个最佳答案.文章的语言难度中等,所用词汇基本上不超出教学大纲词汇表规定的范围。

2.考试要求:要求能读懂英美国家出版的中等难度的文章和材料,掌握所读材料的主旨和大意。

了解说明主旨和大意的事实和细节。

既理解字面的意思,也能根据所读材料进行一定的判断和推论。

既理解个别句子的意义,也理解上下文的逻辑关系。

(四)英汉语言互译
1.考试内容:本题为主观题,题型为翻译。

共两题,英译汉、汉译英,考察学生通过所掌握的语言知识和跨文化理解能力进行英汉两种语言互译的能力。

其中英译汉为篇章翻译,汉译英为句子翻译。

2.考试要求:英译汉部分译成中文,要求考生应力图准确理解原文,文字表达通顺,符合中文表达习惯;汉译英部分译成英文,要求译文忠实原文、语法正确、表达较流畅地道。

(五)英语书面语表达
1.考试内容:本题为主观题,题型为英语话题写作。

测试学生用英语书面语表达思想的能力,要求考生写出一篇180-200词之间的英语短文。

文体包括看图作文、说明文、议论文等。

2.考试要求:(1)内容切题,严格按照题目所规定的内容、话题来写;
(2)表达清楚,观点鲜明,结构、意思完整,论证充分;
(3)意思连贯,文字通顺,衔接自然,条理清楚;
(4)句法多变,遣词造句熟练自如,语句灵活多变;
(5)拼写正确,无明显语法错误。

二、考试形式及试卷结构

闭卷、笔试,试卷满分为100分,考试时间为120分钟。
