①一般现在时The Present Tense
Now Study the following sentences carefully.
1.I work everyday.
2.We work everyday.
3.They work everyday.
4.Mr and Mrs. Green work everyday.
5.She works everyday.
6.He works everyday.
7.It works everyday. 8.Mr.Green works everyday.

1.一般现在时用动词原形表示.如work/ do/ wash /go
2.当主语是第三人称单数时，谓语用第三人称单数形式。如works/ goes
3.动词不讲复数，只说第三人称，或者是动词原形。
4.动词的变化规则与名词单数变成复数的规则基本相同，不能说完全相
同。
5.A and B 指的是MR. And Mrs. Green Tony ans Tina ;
6.A指的是Mrs. Green or MR. Green or Tony or Tina 以下相同

No.1表示现阶段经常发生的动作。
He often gets up at six .
She works eight hours a day.
It often rains in Summer in Guangzhou.
No.2 表示客观事实或者是真理。
The sun rises in the east.
Metal expends when heated.
The earth goes around the sun.
No.3用于格言或警句
Pride goes before a fall.
A good beginning makes a good ending。
A good book is a good friend.
No.4表示主语具备的能力、性格
I like reading and writing.
I like Chinese handwriting.
She can sing English song.
No.5 表示现在的情况或者是状态
He is a student.
The soup tastes good.
They enjoy skating.
No.6口语当中，一般现在时可以表示按规定、计划或时间要发生的事，通常有一个表示未来时间的状语。
Are you free tonight?
The plane takes off at 9:20 a.m.
I am in the office from two to five this afternoon.
No.7 在时间或条件从句中，需用一般现在时表示将来动作。
If I see Nancy I’ll ask her.
In case I forget,please remind me about it.
I’ll discuss this with you when we meet.
No.8还可以用在其他从句，如
I hope that you feel better soon.
Whatevr happens, I’m coming.
However long you argue,you will never convince him.
