(1). 错译如：

同志！说起来可是······一家子，三几年没有穿新衣呀！

原译：“Comrade! Let’s treat each other as one family,” the old woman said.”We haven’t had new clothes for over three years.”

改译：Comrade, I'm very sorry to say, nobody in our family has ever had any new clothes for about three years.

(2). 漏译如：

群众是复杂的，工作又很多。

原译：The masses of people are complex. Especially in the present masses there are extremely complex elements.

改译：The situations are very complicated with the masses of the people. And we have a lot of work to do.

(3).马虎翻译如：

Try to be modest and prudent, guard against complacency.

原译：要谦虚谨慎，戒骄戒躁。

改译：要谦虚谨慎，防止自满情绪。

（4）. 表达失误如：

He is physically weak but mentally sound.

原译：他身体虽弱，但思想健康。

改译：他身体虽弱，但精神尚佳。

（5）. 词不搭配如：

Chairman Mao is an activist, a prime mover···

原译：毛主席是一位活动家，是原动力······

（6）. 译文费解如：

（7）. “洋“化现象如：

They had barely enough time to catch the train.

（8）.白水翻译如：

(1). 改变词类如：

This issue is of paramount importance

这个问题至关重要。重要 important 用于介词后故用名词importance，汉译时仍用形容词重要。

成功需要不断努力。因此小王经常工作到深夜，希望能赶上计算机技术的最新发展。

Success calls for non-stop efforts. So Xiao Wang often worked until very late at night in the hope of keeping pace with the latest developments in computer technology.

(2). 选词用字如：

It’s a crime you didn’t finish school.

你上学没有毕业真是个憾事。

此人是书就读。

That man reads every book he can reach.

(3). 词序调整如：

不论晴天下雨，我们明天非去不可。

Rain or shine, we’ll have to go tomorrow.

Everybody present was deeply moved.

在场的每个人深受感动。

（4）.省略如：

You cannot build a ship, a bridge or a house if you don’t know how to make a design or how to read it.

不会制图或看不懂图纸，就不可能造船，架桥或盖房子。

(5). 曾词如：

I could knit when I was seven.
