大学英语2课程教案
Unit2 Body Language
I.W arm-up Activity
Since body language is an important part of communication, students should distinguish the signals that people send out with their body language. Ask students share some popular body language with each other, and discuss the meaning of each gesture.
Ask the students to give their own answers to the following questions:
1.List some examples of overall positive body language.
2.How can you improve your skills in interpreting body language?
3.Can you think of an example of misunderstanding caused by inappropriate body
language? Demonstrate it in front of your classmates if you can.
4.Can you show some examples of different body language in different cultures?
II.Listening Task
Listen to a passage about body language and answer the questions on page 27.
List some new words and expressions the students may meet. Then play the recording three times, pausing at the second time, and ask the students to take notes and answer the questions. Then check the answers.
