Step 1: Lead in

After greeting, I will show the picture of my family and introduce my family to the students.

Step 2: Presentation

1)Present the new words. I will show some pictures about different jobs and let students read after me.

2)Listen to the tape and answer questions. I will read out the dialogue here. Students should answer the questions after listening.

3)I will guide students to learn the sentence: what does he/she do? He/She is...

Step 3: Practice

Play the game what’s missing to practice the new words.

Step 4: Production

Do a survey and give report. Students will work in group of four to do a survey about family members’ jobs. Then each group should give a report in front of class.

Step 5: Summary and homework

I lead them to summarize what they have learned in this class.

Write a short passage to introduce your family to the classmates.
