Brief introduction
Chongqing is the major city in southwestern China and one of the four direct-controlled municipalities administratively, which is the only such municipality in inland China. The municipality was created on 14 March 1997, succeeding the sub-provincial city administration that was part of Sichuan province. As of November 2010, the municipality had a population of 28,846,200 , although the urbanized area is estimated to have a population of only 6 or 7 million. Chongqing has a significant history and culture and serves as the economic centre of the upstream Yangtze basin. It is the major manufacturing centre, and a transportation hub, for Southwest China, and in a July 2012 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, was recently named as one of the 13 emerging megacities, or megalopolises, in China.

Salisbury
Salisbury ( /ˈs ɔːlzbri/ ) is a cathedral city in Wiltshire, England and the only city in the county. It is the second largest settlement in the county (the largest being Swindon). It has also been called New Sarum to distinguish it from the original site of settlement to the north of the city at Old Sarum, but this alternative name is not in common use. The city is located in the south-east of Wiltshire, near the edge of Salisbury Plain. It sits at the confluence of five rivers: the Nadder, Ebble, Wylye and Bourne are tributary (支流)to the Avon, which flows to the south coast and into the sea at Christchurch, Dorset. Salisbury railway station serves the city, and is the crossing point between the West of England Main Line and the Wessex Main Line, making it a regional interchange.

Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan Province and one of the most important cities in southwestern China. Boasting pleasant weather and paradise-like landscape, Kunming attracts millions of admirers from home and abroad every year. It was important during World War II as a Chinese military center, American air base, and transport terminus for the Burma Road. Located in the middle of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Kunming is located at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level and at a latitude just north of the Tropic of Cancer.
