TOPIC: 读写任务------ 如何举例说明

TEACHING GOAL:

1.Help Students know how to give examples to explain opinions

2.Make Students practice the writing skills in writing assignments TEACHING PROCEDURES:

Step 1: Greeting

Step 2: Lead-in

Share my opinions on the importance of relationship between students and myself. Then I will show them a small example. Later, ask some students to share their opinion while at the same time give us an example to prove it.

[提出观点] Actually, having a good relationship with teachers makes it easier for us to get along smoothly with our study at school.

[举例说明] Take me for example. [例子] My teacher is my good friend. When I fail in the exam, it is my teacher that first helps me to analyze the problem. She is patient enough to make me get over all the difficulties in my study. When I am unhappy, she always listens to me carefully and then gives me some reasonable suggestions, so that I can focus on my study soon. Also, I have learned to be helpful and considerate.

Step 3: Writing template

Part 1: Get students familiar with the templates

Part 2: Practice with templates.

Ask students write within 10 minutes and then pick up some of their works to illustrate in front of the class.

In fact, many famous persons in the world lived through a hard time and got their achievements. We can find lots of examples in our daily life.

Thomas Edison, a great inventor, achieved his success after hundreds of failures.

Helen Keller, a girl who couldn’t hear or see anything, made her great efforts to overcome all the difficulties she met within her lifetime, and became a famous educator and writer. From these facts, we can learn that never giving up will bring you great success, which John and Washington taught us.

Step 4: Homework

When a lion was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down beside him and made some noise. This soon wake the lion. Losing his temper, he caught the mouse in his paws and was about to kill it. The mouse, terrified, pleaded to the lion to spare its life.

“Please let me go,” it cried, “and one day I will repay yo u for your kindness.” The idea of so small a creature ever being able to do anything for him amused the lion so much that he laughed aloud. He thought, “How could this little mouse help me?” However, he lifted his paws and let it go.

But the mouse’s chance came after all. A few days later, when the lion was wandering in the forest, he was caught in a trap.

The hunters wanted to take him alive to the king, so he tied him to a tree, and went away to look for a wagon.
