我们的长难句讲解采用的是chunk理论：词块理论。原则：语言是由语法化的词汇构成的。使用时直接提取词块，无需语法规则生成和解析。只要你会中文的连词成句，就可以规避诸多虐死人的语法问题。

句子一：

An invisible border divides those arguing for computers in the classroom on the behalf of students’career prospects and those arguing for computers in the classroom for broader reasons of radical educational reform.

分析：

an invisible border一种无形的界限

on the behalf of为了，代表

career prospects职业前景

broader reasons更广泛的原因

radical reforms彻底的改革

先看整个句子，这里的those在文里是指前文的人，即翻成那些人those。those arguing for computers in the classroom on the behalf of students’career prospects和those arguing for computers in the classroom for broader reasons of radical educational reform，他们是相同的结构，可知是两个并列成分。把它们分别看成A和B，那么就是An invisible border divides A and B.那么句子的架构就出来了。再来看细节，按照Chunk理论，把词组串起来。those arguing for computers in the classroom on the behalf of students’career prospects即那些争论在教室里装电脑是为了学生的职业前景的人。those arguing for computers in the classroom for broader reasons of radical educational reform即那些争论在教室里装电脑是为了基础教育改革的更为广泛的原因的人。整个句子翻译即：

一条无形的界限将那些争论教室内装电脑是为了学生职业前景的人和那些争论教室内装电脑是为了教育基础改革的更广泛的原因的人划分开来。

句子二：

先看句子的整体结构，两个破折号代表句子里有插入语成分。先直接抽出去。那么句子主要讲the American Law Institute issued new...... Or前后是两个并列结构。下面看细节。carry substantial weight是意译，取举足轻重之义。着重记忆issue和state两个词。bombard这个词本

意是轰炸，那就是一连串的不停的轰炸，对否？引申义是向.......提一系列问题。本文语境中做第二次引申，取大量地提供之义。最后翻译时与a lengthy list of进行合译，因为表达的意思相近。按照Chunk 理论，进行连词组成句，即：
