The Charm of the Sea

I love the sea although I have never seen it; I love the sea although I have never felt its smell;I love the sea because it can cover all the creatures in it, like a mother. In the sea, all kinds of dreatures live in a balanced relation which bring them to the life and growth in nature. Similarly our human beings are living in such a society, but we have it hurt in all respect. We live in a place where is overwhelmed by money, power and desire. In order to persue such kind of things, people did harm to nature which have tolerated people as a mother.

Mobby Dick appeared as the host clue of the whole story. Actually I don‟t think Mobby is the main character of this story. It stands for the power and strength of nature. The fight between Ahab and Mobby indicate the conflict between human beings and nature. Creatures lived in the sea have been influenced by the sea‟s broad mind, they are lenient. Compared with Mobby Dick, captain Ahab was narrow-minded and vicious. When he decided to take revenge on Mobby Dick, he insist on killing Mobby nomatter what dangerous people were feced with. During the hunting, Starbuck exhorted Ahab many times to desist, he took them for granted. His thought of killing Mobby is unchangeable. Ahab was to blame that he violated the rules of nature, so that he deserves his disability. We all want to achieve something in our life but we always ignore something important. Although the sea is just like mother, like a shelter,but it will also be briven to creazy.

Mobby killed all the crews as the punishment of their revenge. It‟s not only for them but also for all the human beings. As a part of nature, we are supposed to respect all the creatures which supported our life, meanwhile, we are playing a role to balance the relationship of all the creatures. So wew should learn from the sea, we should learn how to tolerate others and do not to violate the harmony of nature.

In the Mobby Dick, the characters implicate mysterious atmosphere. For instance Elijah, when he encountered Ishmael and his friend Queequeg at the dock after they had sign their trip, he hints that troubles would come with their trip. This bring readers into a mysterious state. And at last, readers‟ interest about Elijah become stronger.their conversations are as follow:

“Well, well, what's signed, is signed; and what's to be, will be; and then again, perhaps it wont be, after all. Any how, it's all fixed and arranged a'ready; and some sailors or other must go with him, I suppose; as well these as any other men, God pity 'em! Morning to ye, shipmates, morning; the ineffable heavens bless ye; I'm sorry I stopped ye”

all the words above seems to be very simple but have deep meaning. “what‟s signed ,is signed;”shows that the fate of people who violate the rules of nature is doomed. Once you violated it, you are doomed to be punished. “Any how, it's all fixed and arranged a'ready;”shows that all the things belong to nature have its own track and they are unchangeable nomatter how strong you are. The sea is a charming world.

For us, the sea is reliable which support us unconditionally. But once we crossed the deadline, things go to the oposite direction. We should feel the sea and feel its charm. We …d better appraciate than do harm to it.
