1. 教学内容分析与要求

生活中常见食品的英语名称。共有六幅图画用来进行口语练习。如：

a. — What are there in the picture?

— There’s a glass of cola and some ice.

b. — What is that?

— There’s a bag of potato chips.

— Are these good to eat?

— Yes, I like to eat potato chips.

c. — What is it?

— It’s a hamburger.

— Do you like it?

— Yes, we often have hamburgers for lunch.

d. — What would you like to drink?

— A glass of milk, please.

e. — Some more?

— No, thank you. A bowl of rice is enough for me.

f. — What else do you want?

— Some fish, please.

2. 教学建议

将全班同学分成几个小组进行小组抢答，要求学生准确说出食物的名称，然后指导学生进行对话操练。

在此基础上，鼓励学生就生活中所接触过的食物进行谈论。首先认知所有常见食物，同桌两个同学可以互换角色进行对话练习，并鼓励英语基础比较好的学生到前面给全班同学进行对话表演。

本单元阅读课的目标是使学生掌握本单元的生词、短语及提高学生的阅读能力。如：

Some kinds of American food have now become more and more popular 

in China.

2. 教学建议

本单元的课文以“喜爱的食物”为话题，介绍了各国人们所喜爱的食物类型，着重讲述了中国北方的典型食物 —— 饺子，以及美国快餐食物在中国的流行。

教师可通过食品名称导入课文。例如：Look at the picture. What is this? What is your favorite food? 组织学生就这一话题展开讨论。

给学生5分钟时间进行阅读，然后完成 Reading Comprehension 和练习册中的几个问题，教师借此培养学生语篇的理解能力。

对教学目标中提出的 words 和 Useful Expressions 的用法及相关主要语言点（language points ）进行必要的举例讲解，“教学参考材料”中的内容视教学实际参考使用。

在同学们学习完课文之后，设计一个讨论活动： 对某些食品发表看法。

3. 教学参考材料

1）In the north of China, the most popular food is dumplings. 在中国北方，最受欢迎的食品是饺子。

In the north of…“在……北方”；the most popular “最受欢迎的，最普及的”，形容词的最高级结构。

词汇短语句型句子

2）They think the family getting together is important during a festival. 他们认为节日期间阖家团圆非常重要。

get together “集合，聚会，聚集”。the family getting together “阖家团圆”。3）Sometimes young couples don’t want to make dumplings by themselves. 有时候年轻夫妇不想自己包饺子。

by oneself “自己（做），亲自”。

4）They go to restaurants and order the kinds of dumplings they like. 他们到餐馆去订购那些他们喜欢的那几种饺子。

the kinds of ….“那些种……”；还有 a kind of…“一种……”；some kinds of …

“某些种类的……”。

句中 they like 是定语从句，修饰 dumplings, 意为“他们喜欢的饺子”。

5）Ordering food from a restaurant is a way to save time.从餐馆订餐是个节省时间的办法。

order… from…“向……订购……”

如：We ordered the textbooks from a bookstore. 我们向书店订购了教科书。

ordering food from a restaurant 是动词 -ing 形式在本句中做主语。

6）They like going to KFC or McDonald’s. 他们喜欢去肯德基或麦当劳。

KFC（Kentucky Fried Chicken）肯德基快餐店；

McDonald’s /maIk’dRnEldz/ 麦当劳快餐店。

7）We have to tell our children not to eat too much fast food. 我们得告诉孩子们不要吃太多快餐。

have to … “不得不……”。又如：We have to get up at 5 tomorrow morning. 我们明天早晨得在 5 点起床。

8）Many people think this kind of food is “junk food”. 许多人认为这种食品是“垃圾食品”。

junk food “垃圾食品”。
