once a beautiful place. Survivors were now living in tents, waiting patiently for
aid. Although people suffered a lot, they didn’t complain, because the
government was making every effort to help them.
第十三节 (77) (One possible version)
As a result of the modern economic development, advertising is becoming
more and more popular to sell products. Every coin has two sides, and this is
also true of advertising.
On the one hand, advertising can promote sales, because people tend to pay
special attention to those impressive ads. Objectively speaking, ads can indeed
give us more choices and help us make informed decisions. Also, advertising can
help partially solve the problem of unemployment by providing jobs to job
hunters.
On the other hand, advertising can be a waste of resources both in money and
energy. Ads are flooding into our daily life. Some merchants only pursue their
own profits regardless of benefits to consumers. They produce large numbers of
misleading ads which may cheat people.
To sum up, advertising has both advantages and disadvantages. Confronted
with ads, we need to use our judgement to make the best use of them.
