The building typology and language is mixed with the characteristics of the first and second phase projects of the campus, but at the same time with specific functions to the requirement of the building. In order to solve the problem of area lack, the building was designed to be a two-storey one with each 7 meter-high so that it is possible to expand later accordingly. The ground floor is similar with the first phase buildings with stone-foundation platform; the second floor is similar with the second phase buildings—looks like one building, but there are four courtyards of different sizes inside; the four disciplines are located around. 建筑类型及语言混合了象山校园一、二期的特征, 同时针对这栋建筑特殊的功能需要。为从空间设计上 解决面积不足的问题,建筑被设计为两个高 7m 的主 层,后期可以根据需要加层扩展。底层设计为与校园 一期建筑类似的石砌高台,二层与校园二期建筑类似, 外观是一栋,内部为大小不同的 4 个院落,4 个专业 围绕院落布置。两个主层功能按空气的“清、浊”划 分,4 个专业需要烧制的窑炉布置在此,制坯、教学 和研究放在二层,整个建筑从气流的流动考虑,按南 北向设计自然气流的通道,形成“气流轴线”。建筑外 观似乎是一栋方正的现代建筑,而内部的单坡院楼格 局,有利于自然通风的形成。
这栋建筑产生在象山校园一、二期完工之后,校 园西北角留下一块狭窄的三角地块,与校园一期间隔 一个运动场。学院出于对通过动手制作来传承传统民 间工艺的教学考虑,计划利用这块地建造一栋热成型 教学楼,满足陶艺、传统漆艺、玻璃及首饰 4 个专业 的教学与实验需要。估计最小教学面积 6 000m2,但 政府批准的建造面积只有 4 000m2。
建筑空间格局以正交网格为基础,类似传统的稍间 环绕正间的方式。南、北、西于是形成青砖和玻璃的双层 立面。南侧利于遮阳,北侧、西侧除利于遮阳,也利于 减弱城市道路的交通噪音。双层立面之间的空间主要用 做陶艺和传统漆艺在制作中对自然风干的需要。东侧稍 间完全打开,白墙外露,与高台结合,确定了朝东为建 筑位置经营的主朝向,与校园一期建筑群遥相唱和。□
the "clean and polluted" air. The ovens for the four disciplines are set here. Casting, teaching and research are on the second storey. The whole layout of the building was considered according to the circulation air, south-north natural air pass and formed "airflow axis". The exterior is looks like a rectangular modern building, but the interior is single slope courtyards layout, which is good for the natural air circulation.

This building was constructed after the first and second phases of the Xiangshan campus project, on the site located in the northwest of the campus. It is a narrow three-angle site. There is a sport ground between it and the first phase project. The academy planned to build a thermo-forming building on this site with the consideration of carrying forward the traditional folk crafts by hand-making. It will accommodate four disciplines of ceramics, traditional lacquer craft, glass craft and jewelry design for their teaching and experiments. It was assumed that at least 6 000m2 was needed, but finally the government only approved for 4 000m2.
With this gap of area, the problem should be solved with space design. But the design consideration was mainly based on the environment the building would be located. Viewed from the first phase buildings to the west, the hill extended to the west and the landscape had not been destroyed by any building. I defined the building as a long enough horizontal line, which should be concealed; at the same time enforce the horizontality of the landscape. To the west and north of the building are newly finished wide and fast city roads, so the building faces them with a silent posture as well as its black tile wall. To the eaΒιβλιοθήκη Baidut are the first phase buildings of the campus, facing with lively white, large windows, tall entrance and pavilions. The south gate of the building is narrow, faces with the half-exterior courtyard and opens to the Xiangshan hill, significantly meaningful.
面积不够,可以通过空间的设计解决,但设计的考 虑主要基于与建筑所处的环境关联。从校园一期建筑群 西望,望江山脉逶迤西去,风景尚未被任何建筑破坏, 我把这栋建筑界定为一根足够长的水平线,它应该隐没, 同时强化风景的水平性。建筑的西侧、北侧皆为宽阔的 新建快速城市道路,所以建筑以沉默的姿态和青砖大墙 面对 ;东为校园一期建筑群,建筑以明快的白色、大幅 开窗、高大入口和凉亭面对 ;建筑南门狭窄,以半室外 的纵深院子面对,向象山开放,取深远之意。

The space of the building is based on the perpendicular grid, similar as traditional layout of Shao Jian( in the ancient times, this is the room for the firewood) surrounding the main room. In this way, the south, north, west elevations are double walls with black tiles and glass. The double walls on the south facade are good for sunshade and the north and west sides with one additional function of blocking the traffic noise. The space between the two elevation walls is mainly for the natural air drying for the ceramic and traditional lacquer craft production. The east Shao Jian is completely open, exposing the white wall and the combing with the high-foundation platform, which makes the north face is the main direction of the building and responds to the first phase campus buildings. □

This building was constructed after the first and second phases of the Xiangshan campus project, on the site located in the northwest of the campus. It is a narrow three-angle site. With this gap of area, the problem should be solved with space design. But the design consideration was mainly based on the environment the building would be located. I defined the building as a long enough horizontal line, which should be concealed; at the same time enforce the horizontality of the landscape. To the west and north of the building are newly finished wide and fast city roads, so the building faces them with a silent posture as well as its black tile wall. To the eaΒιβλιοθήκη Baidut are the first phase buildings of the campus, facing with lively white, large windows, tall entrance and pavilions. The south gate of the building is narrow, faces with the half-exterior courtyard and opens to the Xiangshan hill, significantly meaningful.
