08春学期《商务英语写作》期末复习指导

一、课程说明
《商务英语写作》是中央电大开放教育试点及我省省开专科英语专业商务方向的一门限选课,性质为省管。课程采用的教材是《朗文商务致胜英文书信》(Write for Modern Business),由香港理工大学Graham T Bilbow教授编撰,外语教学与研究出版社于2001年12月出版。本课程的教学目的是培养学生掌握商务英语写作基础知识、商务英语书信的基本格式和写作技能,了解主要的商务英语写作类型,提高商务英语书面表达能力,为毕业后成为适应社会需要的应用型涉外商务工作者打下良好的基础。
二、考试说明
本课程的考核采取两种形式:形成性考核(30%)和课程终结考试(即期末考试,占课程总成绩的70%)。
期末考试采取笔试形式,闭卷,时间为90分钟。由省电大统一命题,在同一时间全省统一举行。命题依据为广东广播电视大学英语专业专科教学计划、《商务英语写作》课程教学大纲及文字教材。考核范围包括教材中的“商业书信写作基础”和“商业书信写作”的第1-16章。
试卷分为试题和答题纸两部分,考生需将所有答案写在答题纸上。试题共五部分,满分100分,涉及教材的内容不少于50%。具体题型如下:
第一部分:翻译搭配(将所给的商务英语词汇与其对应的汉语翻译搭配)。10小题,共10分。
第二部分:选词填空(选择合适的词语将信函补充完整)。共两封信函,10个空格,共10分。
第三部分:句子排序(将句子排列成通顺完整的信函)。共两封信函,10个句子,共20分。
第四部分:英汉互译。共5个句子:3个英语句子,2个汉语句子,分别翻译成准确得体的汉语和英语,每句4分,共20分。
第五部分:信函写作。根据提示写两封信函,共40分。

三、复习要点
本课程教学内容主要有:商业书信等商务文件的写作基础知识,包括商函、电子邮件、业务报告和会议记录等的格式、文体、语气、常用词语和标点符号等;基本的商务文件类型的写作技能,如一般商业函件、求职信、证明信、查证信、社交信、电子邮件、业务报告、会议记录和通告等。
教学大纲要求,本课程终结时学生应熟悉常用商务英语文体;掌握英语书信等商务文件的写作格式;较熟练地运用英语商务书信中常用的表达方式;能结合各种实际情况,撰写用词语气都能较清楚表达写作者意图的一般商业书信等商务文件。在日常学习和期末复习中,学生应重点掌握每种类型信函的前三个范例。在每一封具体的信函中,不仅熟悉该信函的写作格式,而且应进一步巩固英语基础知识和技能,如:介词的使用,重点词语的用法及表达方式,以及商业书信写作的语气等。不仅如此,学生还应及时认真地做好《形成性考核册》中的记分作业及每章的课后练习题,以检验和巩固学习效果。
