一、教学目标:
a.能用一般现在时谈论自己及他人小时候会做的事情;
b.能会用一般过去时介绍名人的生活简介;
c.要树立合理的目标,并为之奋斗,坚持不懈。
二、教学重难点:
a.本课重点是掌握并运用前三课时的句型,谈论自己及他人小时候会做的事情。
同时要求学生能应用他们介绍名人的生活简介。
b.本课时的难点是:一般过去时的运用。
三、教学设计:
教学步骤
一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)Greeting the whole class as usual。
Free talking:W hat’s your name? Nice to meet you! How old are you? When were you born? Do you like English? When did you
start learning English?
二.导入(Lead-in)初见学生,为了缓和紧张气氛,用简单的问句与学生交流,既能师生熟悉,又能复习第一课时的基础句型为导出新课作铺垫.
教师以自己女儿的爱好导出3a文章,这样
I have a daughter. She likes to listen to stories. Do you know what stories she likes? She likes stories about famous people. Do you want to know something about famous people? 二、 Presentation Show some pictures of the famous people appeared in 3a. Lead the students to read
the names fluently. At the same time let them know their jobs.
三、 Reading 1. Read the passage quickly and answer two questions. 2. Read the passage carefully and fill in the chart.
3. Check the answers together.
4. Question Time.(Listen to the tape and try to find something difficult or important.)
5. Do some explanations and exercise. Let the students master the usage of “too…to…” 可以拉近师生间的距离,让学生更乐于接受
新知。
出示名人的图片教学
生读名人姓名及职
业,扫清学生阅读的
障碍。
学生速读回答两个比较简单的问题,对文章大意有所了解。
提醒学
生从文章中寻找有用的信息。
细读文章完成表格,找出每位名人的成就及取得此项成就的时间。
对文章内容有更深入的了解。
边听录音边寻找自己的困惑点。
之后教师进行讲解补充。
四、 Pairwork
A: Who is Shirley Temple?
B: She is a movie star.
A: When did she become a movie star?
B: When she was three years old. (First the teacher makes a model with one student. Then ask the student to work in pairs and make their own conversations talking about the famous people.)
五、 Discussion S how a video called “Did you know?” It is about the famous persons nowadays. Ask the students to discuss why they are so famous and if we want to be as successful as them what we should do. Ask the students express their opinions first. Then the teacher sum up: As a student, we should have good habits. Read more books and learn more knowledge. Don’t be afraid of mistakes. Try to be confident. We should also have a dream and hold on to our dreams. Then we may be 就课文内容进行生生对话,练习“when”引导的特殊疑问句及时间状语从句。
欣赏介绍名人的影片,如:乔布斯、莫言、奥巴马等,让学生体会名人成功的荣耀,并讨论他们为什么会成功,如果我们想要成功的话需要做哪些努力。
教师趁机对学生进行情感教育。
让学生互相了解他们几岁开始干什么事情.
