教学过程设计Step 1 Warming up:

The teacher says: Good morning, boys and girls. Are you ready for English class now?Ss:Yes,we are.

T: Very good. Let’s do a guessing game, shall we? Listen to me carefully. I like this season. The weather is cool, windy and rainy in this season. The leaves turn yellow and red. People like to wear sweaters and T-shirts. Which season is it?

Ss: It’s autumn. T: Good job, autumn and fall are the same. I Love autumn, what season do you like best?

S1: spring

S2: summer

T:This class,we will learn lesson 13 I love autumn.

Step 2 Discussion and thinking about it.

1. .The teacher introduces the unit topic: Families celebrate together. When there is a big festival in China, the family members always get to gether to celebrate. Then what’s the festival in October in China?

What festival do you know except Mid-Autumn Festival? Help the students to respond in an appropriate way.

2. what do you know about the Western festivals? What festival is coming soon in Canada? At the time,the teacher plays the power point for the students.

Step3 : Presentation

Showing the teaching aims on the blackboard and asking students to read them together.

1. Remembering some new words and phrases of lesson 13 work in group.

2. Talking about different festivals.

3. Understanding the e-mail meaning.

Step 4: Listening practice

1.Listen to the passage and correct pronunciation.

2.Listen to the dialogues and tick the correct answers or pictures. (Listening once or three times for finishing off numbe r 2 of Let’s Do It.)

Step 5: Reading and answering

1..Read the lesson and answer the questions. (At first, read the questions and know the meaning. Second, read the dialogue silently and find the answers to the questions. )

Step 6 Language points:

1.The teacher gets the students to read the dialogue one sentence by one sentence and find something that it’s important or they don’t understand it.
