1、I have long heard of you, as a matter of fact, I referred to your research findings in a couple of my papers during my graduate studies.

2、It gives me such a great pleasure to meet you and your family here in Shanghai and I’m very glad that you will be working with us in the remaining days of this year.

3、If you don’t mind, we’ll accommodate you at the Holiday Inn, which is located in the downtown area, a thirty-minute drive from our lab.

4、Our guesthouse, a small family-style apartment building , is also available to you if you decide to move out of the hotel.

5、In any case, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you and make you comfortable. If you should encounter any inconveniences, do not hesitate to let us kn ow and we’ll be glad to help you out.

6、Our managing director, Mr Li will host a reception banquet/buffet in your honor tonight, and we would like you and your family to come to the dinner

7、I’ve been looking forward to visiting your great country, and I feel very honored and pleased that I’ll be working with my Chinese colleagues in the head office of your automobile group.

8、Back in my college days, a professor of Oriental civilization introduced me to the wealth of Confucianism and Taoism, and by doing that he plated in the depths of my mind inexplicable “ China dream”

9、I’m even more excited now that I’ve set foot on the beautiful land of China. I’m here to witness with my own eyes the magical power of the once remote “ Oriental Dragon”, from the ancient civilization to the current reform.

10、I’ll work closely with my Chinese colleagues on our research projects, through which I’ll realize my “ China dream” in the most rewarding direction.

11、We’ve been expecting you ever since we received your E-mail message informing us of your date of arrival. The symposium will be held at our center as scheduled.

12、Upon your request, we have reserved for you our Ming-house Suit, which is located in the east-tower of the center, a classic Chinese residence designed and decorated in the architectural style of China’s Ming Dynasty.

13、I’m pleased to tell you that you have been chosen by the organizing committee as a keynote speaker for the first session of the conference.

14、If you’d like to use a photoco pier for your handouts ,or an overhead projectors for your presentation, do not hesitate to contact our equipment department.

15、After the dinner, we will show a video entitled ”Touring around Edinburgh”, which I believe will give you a bird-eye view tourist attractions and the services provided in Edinburgh and its surrounding area.

16、I will be working as your guide throughout your six-day visit and also be giving you a detailed account of your visiting schedule.

1、It is my privilege and great pleasure to host this banquet in honor of vice president and other distinguished guests. I would like to avail myself of this opportunity to extend my warm welcome to you all.

2、Evidently/Obviously, Vice president’s current/present visi t has demonstrated/showed his Excellency’s determination to further enhance the friendly and cooperative relations between our two countries.

3、I’m deeply/firmly convinced that a frequent exchange of visits between the top officials is beneficial not only to the improvement of our relations, but also to the peace and stability of the Asian-Pacific region and the world as a whole.

4、Over the years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, especially after the exchange visits between our premier, we have carried out sincere and rewarding cooperation in political, economic, trade ,cultural,educational and public health.

5、We are greatly satisfied with what we have achieved in these fields, and we are ready to make further efforts with your government to push these cooperative relations to a new height.

6、It would not be possible for this grand reform program to yield successful results if China should be deprived of a domestic environment of peace and development of socio-political stability, of an international environment of peace and development, and of its economic and technical cooperation with other countries.

7、As the largest developing country in the world with a relatively low productivity on a whole, China needs a long-term peaceful international environment and a good neighborly environment in particular to realize its modernization program through decades of arduous struggles.
