Lesson 35 Future Transportation
【学习目标】
1.知识目标:掌握重点单词和短语: certainly,invention,present, factory,as long as and so on.。

2.能力目标:了解交通工具的发展史。

3.情感目标: 让学生想像自己发明的交通工具。

【使用说明与方法指导】
1. 自学课文,用双色笔将文中的重要单词,短语画出来,完成课本研读。

2.按照要求限时完成课文的阅读,并完成导学案上的题目。

3.自主学习后以小组为单位探究,达到对重难点的初步理解。

Many hands make light work.
1. In 1990, planes hadn’t been invented! 在1900 年,还没有发明飞机!
hadn’t been invented是过去完成时的被动语态的否定形式,“(在那时以前)还没有被发明”;
过去完成时的被动语态的结构为:had +been +及物动词的过去分词。

He said the book had been translated into many languages.
The lunch hadn’t been cooked before I got home. 我到家之前饭还没有做呢。

2. Couldn’t they take a car? 他们不乘小汽车吗?
否定疑问句,“难道不,,吗?”。

其回答与汉语是有区别的。

在回答否定句及前面陈述部分为否定的反意疑问句时用Yes+肯定形式, No+否定形式,
但翻译时,No译为“是”,Yes译为“不”。

—Won’t you come to the party tomorrow evening? 你明天晚上不来参加晚会吗?
—Yes, I will. 不,我来。

—No, I won’t 是的,我不来。

3. How will people travel 100 years from now? 从现在起100年后人们会怎样旅游呢?
⑴ 100 years from now “从现在起100年后”,等同于“in 100 years”,用于一般将来时态。

即:,years from now = in ,years 在,,年后多用于一般将来时。

It will be my birthday two months from now.
How soon will we live in the new building from now?
⑵ from now “从现在起”。

I’m a student in the third grade from now.
I am a true man from now. 从现在起我就是一个男子汉了。

4.present v.展现;介绍 Can you present yourself?
Present sb to,把某人介绍给,, May I present Bob to you?
Present sth to,把某物提交/展现给,,I will present my plan to my boss.
Present sb sth = present sth to sb
5.It’s dangerous. 它是危险的, dangerous adj. 意为“危险的”。

It’s very dangerous to play football on the road.
① danger n. “危险” in danger, 意为“在危险中”。

The boy is in danger of losing his life. 这个男孩有生命危险。

② dangerous 的反义词为safe, danger的反义词为safety.
He is in safety now. 他现在在安全中。

6.as long as 为固定短语,“只要”,引导条件状语从句,相当于so long as。

You may go to play as long as you finish your homework.
You will catch up with your classmates as long as you work hard.
如果主句为一般将来时态或祈使句或用情态动词+动词原形表示,从句用一般现在时代替一般将
来式,此用法与if, when, 状语从句相同。

As long as 还可以表示“像,,一样长或长达,”
As long as you work hard, you’ll succeed. 只要你努力工作,你就会成功的。

You’ll succeed if you don’t give up. 只要你不放弃,你就会成功的。

We won’t go fishing as long as it rains tomorrow.
as soon as 一,,就,, as usual像平常一样 so as to 以便 such as 例如
7. Then Henry Ford in the U.S. began building small cars in larger numbers.
后来美国的亨利·福特开始大量生产小汽车。

in large numbers 大量地(介词短语, 可作状语,修饰动词或动词短语)。

They are making cars in large numbers.
1) a number of 一些,许多,后接复数名词,谓语通常用复数。

A great(large/good) number of people came to the meeting from all over the country.
来自全国各地的许多人参加了会议。

(注意:修饰number不能用many)
2) the number of, ,,的总数,后接复数名词,但谓语用单数。

如:
The number of students in Class One is 45. 一班的学生总数是45。

8. You’d better not invent that, Danny! 你最好不要发明那个,丹尼!
①you’d better=you had better 后跟动词原形。

You’d better go to hospital at once. 你最好立即去医院看病。

Tom, you’d better go there today. 汤姆,你最好今天去那儿。

②变否定句时,直接在better后加not。

You had better not leave for Nanjing the day after tomorrow.
你最好后天不要动身去南京。

③变反意疑问句时,助动词要用had。

You’d better not go out today, had you? 今天你最好不要外出,好吗?
