How I Overcome My Difficulties in Learning English
How I Overcome My Difficulties in Learning English English, as the official language in almost 60 states, is a basic skill for contemporary people in fierce competition. We all know that learning English is very difficult for nonnative speakers, besides me. When learning English, I meet many difficulties, like pronunciation, listening, and recitation. Through my one year’s effort, I gradually find the ultimate key to learn English well and make a big progress.Pronunciation, which is very crucial but difficult for language learners, is also my biggest problem. At the beginning, I always couldn’t tell some vowels apart, like “/e/”and“/æ/”. They just had a subtle difference-reading the second one requiring a bigger mouse. Also, some consonants were very hard to pronounce for Chines, like “/θ/” and “ /ð/”, which required us to lisp, but in Chinese language, there was nothing similar to this kind of consonant. My incorrect pronunciation led to poor oral English. Then I find a video called “BBC Pronunciation Tips”, which teaches you standard pronunciation and mouth shapes. I practice every phonetic symbol seriously according to this video. It’s really helpful, and my pronunciation improves a lot. After I can read every word correctly, I make use of dubbing App to imitate native speakers. In this way, I can speak confidently and make little mistakes.Next problem I meet is listening that is one of the receptive skills. In the class, sometimes I could n’t understand what the teachers said andmissed the key words when they spoke quickly. Also, my dictations were very terrible, and it often got a low grade, so that I felt nervous every time I did listening exercise. To improve my listening skill, I make following efforts. Firstly, I begin to listen to News, such as BBC or VOA, and try to write it down. Then, I watch some American and British series to train myself in spare time. The most important thing is to relax myself and concentrate on listening materials. Now, I can understand other people’s words, but I still need to do more listening exercise.Learning English’s primary thing is to recite enough words, sentence patterns, and articles. As a science student, reciting is harder than solving one hundred mathematical problems for me. I always confused some words that looked alike. For example, compared to “contract”, “contact”just lacked a “r”, but their meaning was very different. Besides memorizing words and reciting texts also perplexed me. I often recited texts for two or three hours in the day before the teacher checked it. Not surprisingly, I failed every time. Then I make up my mind to memorize every strange words I meet every day. At the same time, I divide the text into small pieces to remember. After making clear of the text’s meaning, reciting it become easier. There is no shortcut to success. It is true of learning English. From my own experience, listening, speaking, reading, and writing all require big efforts. You must believe that hard work will be rewarded!。

Overcome difficulties in learning English_克服学习英语的困难作文_高三英语作文I have had many difficulties since I started to learn English. Since I come from the south of China, I can not distinguish nasal sounds from non-nasals and they sound exactly the same in my dialect. Thus, I had a hard time telling night from light at the very beginning. My poor memory also added to the difficulties when I decided to enlarge my vocabulary. English words were so elusive that I could only remember them for a while.I have spared no efforts to overcome the difficulties and finally succeeded. In order to tell the slight difference between nasal sounds and non-nasals, I forced myself to speak mandarin everyday. How to overcome difficulties in learning English
How to overcome difficulties in learning EnglishI’m always having difficulties in learning English, Because of low scores for long time and poor ability to express in the class. Strong inferiority and Lazy psychology make me more and more poor in English. As a global language, whatever you do, wherever you go, you will be exposed to English, so I have to study English hard.First, I must increase confidence and believe my abilities. I often imply myself as possible as I can.I listen to the teacher carefully and write down the notes. When I can't understand the knowledge, I ask the teacher or classmates immediately out of the class.I realized overcoming the lazy psychology is very important for me.A lazy student can't succeed in learning English. So I imagined some good students to learn from. When I don’t want to do something in learning English, I force myself to do it at once. Especially those things that I don’t want to do before. With time going by, I am not so lazy any more step by step.I know having good habits in listening, speaking, reading and writing can help me improve English. Good ways for me are following the standard audio tape long-term without translating each word or each sentence, using the effective language sensibilities and catching “who, where, when, what, why” these key words to understand the material directly. Second, I think singing English songs is a good habit to improve speaking and reading. Last, because of the writing ability is limited, the necessary writing skill for me is keeping the descriptions short and simple, keeping the sentences simple and clear to avoid grammar errors. In one word, I believe I can make great progress in learning English in these ways.。
