The program is designed to provide a thorough grounding in the theoretical principles, basic knowledge and skills for computer science and engineering. With research ability and design ability being both emphasized, and specialty being coupled with broad scale of knowledge, students can prepare for any professional role for computer science, technology, and application, such as senior engineer or technician for educating, researching, developing, and applying.
The students should gain the basic scientific theory of computer science and technology systematically, with broad basic technology and necessary specialty knowledge. They should master the basic technology for computing, programming, experimenting, expressing, and basic skills in software/hardware operating; they should grasp the knowledge of market economy, management, society science, and humanities; they should have strong ability for self learning, certain ability to analyze and solve practical engineering problems, to practical systems, and the preliminary ability for scientific research, development, and management; they should have basic command of a foreign language, can read specialized documents in foreign language , and satisfy the basic requirement in reading, expressing, and listening.

一、培养目标 Ⅰ. Educational Objectives
本专业本科教育是培养适应社会主义建设需要,德、智、体全面发展,掌握计算机科学与工程方面 的基本理论、基本知识和基本技能,经过“研究型与设计型并重”、“宽口径与特色方向结合”的培养, 可以从事计算机科学、技术和应用各领域中有关教学、科研、开发和应用等方面的高级工程技术人才。
二、培养要求: Ⅱ. Educational Requirement
掌握本专业所需要的较系统的基础科学理论,较宽的技术基础理论及必要的专业知识。具有运算、 编程、实验测试、表达及基本软硬件操作技术;具有市场经济知识、管理知识,懂得一定的社会、人文 科学知识;具有较强的自学能力和一定的分析和解决工程实际问题的能力及工程设计能力,并具有初步 的科技研究、开发能力和组织管理能力,基本掌握一门外语,能阅读本专业的外语书刊,具有听、说、 写的基础。
