英译汉：
景颇山的夜晚特别迷人。

朦胧的月光下，聚集着一群景颇族男女青年，他们或吹箫或唱歌，情绵意笃。

这种热闹场面，当地人叫“串姑娘”（一种求爱方式）。

其实，“串姑娘”是景颇族青年一种极好的自由恋爱方式。

青年到了一定年龄，利用假节日，走亲访友，劳动社交场合，都可以沟通心灵，表达自己的爱慕之情。

“串姑娘”到一定阶段，男女便请“勒脚”（男方媒人）到女方家提亲，一旦女家同意这门亲事，双方便选定良辰吉日，举行婚礼。

有的地方，新娘将要步入新郎家时，新郎家大门口要栽上香蕉，意味子孙后代昌盛。

同时还要栽上甘蔗，意味着新生活节节甜。

在喧闹声中，新郎拉着新娘的手，通过香蕉和甘蔗林、喜字桥步入洞房。

When the bride comes along in bustling excitement, the bridegroom will take the bride’s hand and lead her through the banana trees and sugar cane groves, across a “brid g e” marked by the character “happiness” on the ground, and then disappear into the bridal chamber.。
