李卓吾讲“从碎小闲淡处生出节目来，情景逼现”，也是由情讲节。
亚里士多德《诗学》传入中国后，我们用了“情节”这个词去译他的muthos乃是不得已的。
因为我国本无他所说的那些概念，故无一相对之词汇可供对译。
勉强译为“情节”自然也就引发了不少误解。
例如中国文学中情节的核心精神在于情，亚里士多德却是位绝对的理性论者。
他所说的“情节”与情无关，反而强调理性的统一秩序。
这个秩序既需完整，有开始、中间、结尾，又需长短适中，形成一个完美的结构，难怪他被视为美学理性论的创始人，重视秩序、大小、计算、完整等概念。
可是，中国人说情节与结构，含意恰好相反。
《儒林外史》卧闲草堂本三十三回；“凡作一部大书，如匠石营宫室，必先具结构于胸中。
孰为厅堂，孰为卧室，孰为书斋、灶厨，一一布置停当，然后可以兴工。
”《水浒传》金圣叹评本十三回：“有全书在胸而始下笔著书者。
”中国小说、戏曲若论结构，大抵如此，会从“胸中丘壑”方面立论。

巴新生先生认为“德”观念的发展有四个阶段：原始部族的图腾崇拜；殷商时期的上帝崇拜和祖先崇拜;西周君主的祭祀征伐、视察巡行即统治者的政行；春秋时期的道德观念即普遍的道德判断标准阶段.“道”观念的出现当晚于“德”观念。
