比如“Some children study very diligent”,这句话中,diligent是形容词,不能修饰动词study,必须改为diligently 或者hard。
有学生写到“Both of the two men need lamesticks”,显然,学生因为不记得“拐杖”的英语表达,自己生造了lamesticks 这个词。
实在不会,也可以用helping tools, exterior supports , walking aids, sticks that help them to walk等间接的表达方式,无论如何也不能编造单词,更不能用汉语拼音Guai Zhang。

Title: The Convenience of Express Delivery in the Age of Postgraduate PreparationIn the fast-paced world of today, the role of express delivery has become increasingly significant, particularly for those embarking on the journey of postgraduate studies. For students preparing for the rigorous exams and the subsequent admission process, the ability to quickly and efficiently receive study materials, reference books, and even exam-related parcels is crucial.Express delivery services have revolutionized the way we receive packages. Gone are the days of waiting anxiously for weeks for a parcel to arrive. Now, with the advent of modern logistics and technological advancements, packages can be tracked, delivered, and received within a matter of days, or even hours, in some cases. This speed and efficiency are invaluable for postgraduate aspirants, who often have tight schedules and limited time to devote to errands. Moreover, the reliability of these services is another key factor that cannot be overlooked. Postgraduate students rely heavily on accurate and timely delivery of their study materials. Whether it's a new textbook ordered online or a set of practice exams sent by a tutor, the timely arrival of these parcels can significantly impact their preparation. Express delivery services ensure that these parcels reach their destination safely and on time, minimizing any potential disruptions to the student's study schedule.Furthermore, the convenience of express delivery extends beyond just the speed andreliability. Many services now offer additional features such as door-to-door delivery, real-time tracking, and even cash-on-delivery options. These features make it easier for students to manage their time and resources, allowing them to focus more on their studies rather than worrying about the logistics of receiving packages. In conclusion, the rise of express delivery services has been a boon for postgraduate students. It has not only made the receipt of study materials faster and more reliable but has also added a layer of convenience to their already busy lives. As we continue to navigate the challenges of postgraduate preparation, the role of express delivery in supporting our efforts will remain indispensable.

1Basically, what we see in this picture is a bird lamenting the fact that its home has been destroyed. Of course, birds usually make their homes in trees, and since there are no trees left in the picture – only the stumps, to show that the original trees have been chopped down – the bird is left without shelter. In fact, the bird has no choice but to perch on the handle of an axe, which has been used to destroy its original home.We can deduce from this picture that the drawer is trying to attract our attention to the tragedy of the destruction of forests, which is part of the threat to the ecological balance of the planet. He seems to be saying that soon there will be no trees left in the world. In my opinion, the sad little bird is a symbol of all living things, including human beings, and, like the bird, we too will be left homeless if we allow the destruction of the environment to continue. This simple picture is a wake – up call for the whole of the human race. If this vivid image of the grim future of our planet is not to become a reality, we must take positive steps right now to put an end the plundering of the Earth’s natural resources. It is clear that the drawer of the picture is urging us to start with a campaign to save the forests, which is something all of us can join by urging our local authorities to take positive measures to save the trees.

Despite not being terribly smart as individuals, wasp (黄蜂) colonies build and maintain a complex nest that lasts many generations. Just how these social wasps coordinate this task has always been a mystery. But now a mathematical model suggests that one key factor drives their behavior: the amount of water in the nest.Social wasps cannot learn from one another --- unlike bees, which use a complex dance to tell nest mates where sources of nectar (花蜜) are . Nor do they use pheromones (信息素) the way ants do to lead other ants to food.Robert Jeanne of the University of Wisconsin-Madison proposed that wasps set up a demand-driven chain of information. At the end of the chain, builder wasps monitor the nest and when necessary, request pulp from pulp forager wasps. They in turn demand water from water foragers in order to make the pulp. But biologist Istvan Karsai of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, and his team found that social wasps in Panama don’t actually work that way. They removed either builders or pulp foragers from a colony of a species, called Metapolybia aztecoides. Although that should break up the so-called information chain, it did not significantly alter the amount of water being brought into the nest. They also found that the wasps could change roles, something that Jeanne didn’t expert. For instance, when the researchers sprayed a surplus of water onto the nest, water foragers quickly became builders, and nest building increased.Based on their observations, Karsai’s team developed a mathematical model that shows that wasps achieve their complex behavior simply by monitoring the level of water in the nest —what he calls the “common stomach”of the colony. He believes wasps infer what the level is when they exchange fluids on meeting each other, a behavior called trophallaxis that is common in many social insects. To test the model, Karsai simulated changes in the model colony, for example by removing pulp foragers or builders. “What’s interesting is that in every case the model responds like the actual colony in Panama, “says Karsai.27. According to the passage wasps _____ .A. are very smart as individualsB. are able to build and maintain complex nestsC. drink more water than scientists have expectedD. can learn from each other just like the bees28. What can we infer from the first two paragraphs?A. Bees are smarter than wasps.B.Wasps have nothing in common with bees.C. Unlike bees, wasps live in colonies.D. Wasps use pheromones to lead other wasps to food.29. Robert Jeanne believes that _____.A. the wasps colonies are the ideal social coloniesB. wasps have very strict hierarchical classesC. wasps’behaviors depend on their demandsD. builder wasps have a higher status than pulp forager wasps30. Istvan Karsai and his team have found that _____.A. water distribution in the wasps colonies is based on the kind of job the wasps are doingB. when the information chain is broken up in the wasps colonies, the amount of water decreasesC. when a surplus of water is sprayed onto the wasps nest, the water foragers refuse to workD. wasps change roles according to the situations in the nests31. The word “trophallaxis”is closest in meaning to _____.A. the level of water in the nestB. the common stomach of the colonyC. the exchange of fluids on meeting each otherD. common social insects32. The following statements are related to the mathematical model developed by Karsai’s team EXCEPT that _____.A. wasps achieve their complex behavior simply by monitoring the level of water in the nestB. what Karsai calls the “common stomach”of the colonyC. wasps infer what the level is when they exchange fluids on meeting each otherD. common in many social inserts27.

Consumers should celebrate that; the firms’losses are their gains. But there is a catch. Comparisonsites, whether for insurance or something else, introduce a new layer of costs, including their own splashy advertising campaigns. In theory, competition in the market for comparison sites ought to keep those costs down. But in a recentpaper, David Ronayne of Warwick University argues that consumers often lose outfrom comparison sites. They earn a commission for each shopper who uses them to buy insurance. That referral cost is incorporated into the price the consumer ends up paying. If the increased costs outweigh the saving the comparison enables, consumers end up worse off.
1. Why consumers often lose out from the comparison sites?
(A) The referral cost will be increasedby splashy advertising campaigns.
(B) Consumers may not earn the commissionwhen buying the insurance.
(C) The new layer of costs may increasethe price of insurance.
(D) The insurance company may spend moreon comparison sites.
1. Why consumers often lose out from the comparison sites?
(A) The referral cost will be increased by splashy advertising campaigns.
(B) Consumers may not earn the commission when buying the insurance.
Commission
(C) The new layer of costs may increase the price of insurance.
Comparison sites, whether for insurance or something else, introduce a new layer of costs.
(D) The insurance company may spend more on comparison sites.
That referral cost is incorporated into the price the consumer ends up paying.
Comparison sites, whether for insurance or something else, introduce a new layer of costs.
Consumers should celebrate that; the firms’losses are their gains. But there is a catch. Comparison sites, whether for insurance or something else, introduce a new layer of costs, including their own splashy advertising campaigns. In theory, competition in the market for comparison sites ought to keep those costs down. But in a recent paper, David Ronayne of Warwick University argues that consumers often lose out from comparison sites. They earn a commission for each shopper who uses them to buy insurance. That referral cost is incorporated into the price the consumer ends up paying. If the increased costs outweigh the saving the comparison enables, consumers end up worse off.
Do animals have rights? This is how the question is usually put. It sounds like a useful,ground-clearing way to start. Actually,it isn't,because it assumes that there is an agreed account of human rights, which is something the world does not have.
主干识别:it isn't
because it assumes that there is an agreed account of human rights, which is something the world does not have.
微观分析:it assumes that there is an agreed account of human rights状语从句的主句
which is something the world does not have状语从句中的定语从句
an agreed account of human rights关于人权的约定的认识
which is something the world does not have.
