名词

I.普通名词和专有名词：

1.名词可分专有名词和普通名词。

专有名词：China, John , Mr Smith, Monday, the Great Wall ，the United States,

the History Museum ，Zhongshan Park ，

普通名词：teacher, factory , water , book, homework

2.普通名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词。

1.可数名词复数形式构成的主要变化规则：

1)一般的可数名词+s month – months, classmate- classmates, ruler- rulers

2)词尾是s, x, ch, sh的可数名词+es class- classes, fox- foxes, church- churches,

3)词尾是辅音字母+y的可数名词，去y + ies city- cities, country- countries, library- libraries

4)词尾是元音字母+y的可数名词,直接加s toy- toys, boy – boys, day- days

5)词尾是f或fe的可数名词, 去f/fe + ves shelf – shelves, wife – wives , wolf – wolves

6)词尾是o的可数名词：①+ es tomato- tomatoes , potato- potatoes

②+ s photo- photos, radio- radios, kilo- kilos

7)有些可数名词的单复数形式一样：sheep , Chinese,

8)有些可数名词复数形式构成是不规则的：man – men, child –children, woman- women

9)有些可数名词变oo为ee foot- feet, tooth- teeth

10)有些复合名词的复数形式：a man singer – two men singers

a woman doctor – three women doctors

a boy singer – several boy singers

a girl singer – some girl singers

2.可数名词的数量表达：

eg. a car / two cars a copy of books / two copies of books

a couple of days a few / some computers

a number of / a lot of / lots of / many places

3.不可数名词的数量表达：

eg. a bottle of water / two bottles of water a piece of / five pieces of advice little food some / a little work

a lot of / lots of / huge amounts of / much information

III.名词所有格：

1.表示有生命的名词的所有格：my sister’s friends, the farmer s’ houses

2.表示时间、距离、国家、城市等无生命的名词的所有格：New Year’s Day

3.表示无生命名词的所有格：the front gate of the hall
