本课时教学目标：

掌握本单元出现的重要词汇及其用法.

beard n.（下巴上的）胡须

moustache 髭须

whiskers 颊须，连鬓胡子

blond n. 金发碧眼的人，尤其指女人

adj. 浅黄色的，金色的 blond hair 金色的头发

teenager n. 青少年，十几岁的孩子

adj. teenage 十几岁的，青少年的

concentrate 集中，专心致志于

vi. We should concentrate on / upon how to prevent water pollution .

vt. I always concentrate my attention on what the teacher says in class .

concentration n.

注意比较 center on / focus on

talk sb. into doing sth. ask / beg / try to persuade sb. to do sth.

solution n. 解决方法

常与介词to连用 the solution to this matter

People with physical disabilities are called the disabled .(残疾，可数)

failure n. 失败

Failure is the mother of success .失败是成功之母。

apologize v. 道歉 apologize to sb. for sth.

apology n. 道歉，认错

make / offer an apology to sb.(for sth.)

suggest v. 表明 His red face suggested that he was angry .

建议 My mother suggested a outside holiday for the coming festival .
