Hello, everyone!
大家好！
My project is about Marco Polo and the Silk Road.
我的课题是马可波罗和丝绸之路
Marco Polo was a man from Italy.
马可波罗是一个意大利人。

At the age of 17, he went to China.
在17岁时，他来到中国
He travelled along the Silk Road with his father and uncle.
他和他的父亲、叔叔一起沿着丝绸之路旅行。

Together, they moved goods between Europe and Asia on the
Silk Road.
他们一起通过丝绸之路，在欧洲和亚洲之间运送商品进行贸易。

Later, Marco Polo travelled with his brother.
后来，马可波罗和他的哥哥一起旅行。

They travelled on boats, horses and camels.
他们坐船，骑马和骆驼去旅行。

Their journey lasted about twenty years!
他们的旅行持续了将近二十年！
In 1275, Marco Polo travelled to Beijing.
在1275年，马可波罗去北京旅行。

He met the king and worked for him for 17 years.
他见到了国王并为他工作了17年。

During those years, Marco Polo learned about coal and paper.
在这些年期间，马可波罗了解了煤炭和纸。

The Chinese discovered coal and invented paper.
中国人发觉了煤并创造了纸。

These things were new to Marco Polo.
马可波罗从来没有见过这些东西。

He brought some coal and paper back to Italy with him.
他把一些煤和纸带回了意大利。

He also brought back a lot of silk,tea and other goods.
他还带回了许多丝绸，茶叶和其他物品。

Marco Polo wrote a famous book about his travels to China.马可波罗把他在中国的旅行写成了一本着名的书。

I hope to write a book like that someday.
我盼望将来某一天写一本像那样的书

1.At the age of 17, he went to China.17岁时，他去了中国。

【解析】句式at the age of意为“在……岁时〞，后加基数词表示年龄。

【例句】At the age of twenty, his uncle owned a big farm. 二十岁时，他叔叔就拥有一个大农场。

2.I hope to write a book like that someday.
我盼望有一天能写一本那样的书。

【解析】句式hope to do something 意为“盼望做某事〞，动词hope后加动词不定式〔to + 动词原形〕作宾语。

【例句】We hope to visit the Great Wall this weekend 我们盼望这个周末能参观长城。
